I did this procedure along with a new belt last night. My steering is a tiny bit jittery now. Do you think it is the cheap dextron III I put in there? Would synthetic be smoother? It's pretty slight, but I can feel it a bit. Sorry to revive an old thread.

I was actually unable to get my ebay vag-com cable working with 1.29 of ecuflash on win7, even though romraider worked. I uninstalled 1.29 and installed the latest 1.42 and was able to read and save my stock rom.

Installed a new wiper motor without lining up the arrows on the linkage and motor. When I put it all back together and turned it on, by wipers swung toward the engine before going up about 3/4 of the way. I even had all the plastic bits popped back in. Took it all apart and fixed it. It's the first time I've switched one of these, so that's my excuse.
