  1. You seem to know alot about tires, I have read through the Tire posts and continue to see your very informative posts.

I am looking at the ROTA SDRs 17x7.5 (They don't make a 8 in wide version of this wheel). I am buying the rim simply for looks. However, I would like the best wet/dry tire I can get that works best with this wheel.

I am not a racer, but live in Florida and we do get rain (lots of it in season). I do drive rather sporty (taken a driving class) - but am very humble and KNOW I am not THE DRIVER - but rather one that likes to get the feel of performance and know that I have traction when I need it.

I am looking at the Eagle F1 and the Falken 452s (I have had Falkens on my WRX and wife's Forester - 451s and 452s) The are better than stock (and that is all I have compared them too).

I am looking at the 225/45/17 and 235/40/17 size. However, in the Tire sticky post it says the 225 is about as wide as I should go on the 7.5 rims.

I continue to read the different tires with the same size measurement on them are actually different sizes (one brand different than another). However, being a novice and only using the Falkens and OEM tires - I am not sure about the 235s.

I am not sure about the Falkens over the F1. The F1 get the top wet ratings on Tirerack.

Note: I am also open to other tire selections.

Any suggestions, thoughts, would be great.

Side Note: I also have some other questions if you have the energy or time to answer them.

    Regards....
