I wouldnt see why you couldnt. Me personally, i would just run it all the way up since you're already doing it. Plus i dislike splicing into factory wires

So, you don't have those wires? Then you'll have to run new ones.

Mine 2014 outback premium is not factory pre-wired for camera. Can I use that white connector (small one on the left) for the camera purpose? Attach it somehow like this:

And then in the trunk connect it to camera

I have a question regarding this topic.

I have 2014 premium 2.5 outback with PE669U1 head unit and tried if camera functions work. I grounded pin 8, turn key into on, reverse gear but the display did nothing. Then I connected pins 8 and 12 and did the same. Nothing changed.

Does it mean that my headunit does not support camera (but it should)? Am I doing something wrong?
