BUMP: Updated.

When did you wrap the trunk lid?
few days ago...just re-wrapped it last night in gloss and put in some OE lights. Guess it may be time to update this thread
-
That pic above isn't a resister...it is the actual chime speaker. I took it off the backside of the instrument cluster.

I always wondered why no one added vents in the hood like the GTk. There are cutouts already in the hood on the underside.

I noticed that...which is what got my mind working.

Thanks man! I've been on the facebook group discussing it a bunch and forgot my roots for a while now. Back to catch up.

Edit: 06/13/18
As of 2:45a.m. last night, after re-wrapping my trunk since I hated the c/f wrap I put on it *yes I'm anal and impulsive*, I am pretty much done with the exterior aesthetics. Notes: I decided against going with a face-lift after finally receiving my bumper and having to return it due to improper "gassing" creating a fog appearance in the paint...besides, it is pretty aggressive looking now already.
So after I finish glazing my fab'd duckbill spoiler to remove the pinholes and possibly a few other small things, I will be finished and have WAY OVEREXCEEDED my project goals (and budget). Many of these mods I made design, tested, and fab'd up myself...very proud if you can't tell so here's my pat on the back.
Quick Exterior Mod List: (b/c why not right? Note: half these things could be on a whole new list of just itself as a project
15-17 Roush hood heat extractors (fully functional)
K2Gear scoop (clone) w/matching WRX style canards
DAMD front JDM splitter w/hanging rods (fab'd to fit)
DAMD skirts
Gialla Sportivo front garnish
13-14 Headlights (PP RGB Halos, Demon Eyes, LED's - custom C-Light DRL's)
Eyelids (fab'd)
Eyeshadows (new invention I created = fab'd)
Grillmax MX grill (sold the Gialla clone I fab'd) > red trim'd
Hellahorns (red)
Forester XT signal side mirrors (wrapped in c/f) > need to wire up
WRX front bumper vents > not sure if I want to install these anymore
Gloss black trunk vinyl
Retro-mod taillights (removed tinted tails) > still want to do with rings
Ducktail spoiler > need to finish
Gialla Sportivo rear under spoiler (will add reflectors soon)
Tire lettering kit > not sure if I want to install after text fitting
VRS rear window spoiler
20% window tint
Subaru windshield banner (fab'd)
Shaved rear badges > Brennan rear badge w/TS emblem only
eBay luggage rackin' it up
Goodyear F1 Tires
Avant Garde M590 > 19x8.5
KSport Air Basis suspension (decided to sell; not going to install)
Tein Street Basis coils
...and of course some stickers good for +5hp each.
Front end pic 1 is current...
Pic 2 is few months ago...
Pic 3 is a year ago?
Pic 4 is 18 months ago?
I have a million pics of the changes, work, etc...but this is a good sampling.
You get the idea.

where did you place the resistor only hang up in my seat swap sometimes it works sometimes it dings
Yellow plugs.
-
For good reason... It's unsafe. Unless you have a cage to mount onto parallel to your back shoulders.
-
you don't need a video...it's easy. Just unbolt 4 bolts holding down the seat, unplug everything (after disconnecting the battery), trick the seatbelt sensor with a 3.3ohm resister, so you don't have the seatbelt warning light and the constant dinging or airbag light on, get yourself some seats and brackets = done. Word of advice...DO NOT REMOVE STOCK SEAT BELTS...you will want these. A 4 point harness looks cool, but f*ck trying to drive around with it on. Trust me on this...I cut mine and removed, just to end up buying a new set and reinstalling.

whoa, whoa, whoa... I need pics of those painted rings. I thought doing that, but I broke the nubs off of the rings when I put my cf background in, so the rings are now super glued in place. I still might paint just the top ridge by hand.

I intentionally broke off the knobs and used a superglue pen to dot where the nubs were. The top rings come off the bottom rings btw...so painting is easy. Comes off just like the bottom from the face. Snap, snap.
-
Coming from the same guy that took apart his gauge cluster to paint the rings and add cf overlay...lol.

I got too much free time I suppose. Bit the bullet and bought some Sparco seats, brackets and 4 point harness. Will need these anyway after the engine swap in 2 weeks. Will miss my heated, powered seats I'll let you all know how they fit and if it's worth it. Otherwise I might drop them into my Roadrunner.
-
Already posted this up in Facebook, but I wanted to post this up for all you who like to tinker. Took about 5 minutes to take out...5 minutes to paint.
Never even thought about doing this until I was already into it, and man what a difference!
I used my old can of satin touchup paint from my Jaguar XF, black candy and a carbon fiber overlay.
-
Oh some aftermarket Sparco seats would be awesome. Been thinking about this option, but the amount of effort to install is a big motivator in not going forward.

Just wish I were more handy with the camera...could have taken some awesome pics.

Looks fantastic. Is that a homemade ez lip attached to the Bayson lip? Or is that something official?
No, it's a universal splitter which I had to cut in half (in order to stretch out to 72") and fiberglass back together. PITA.

Copycat!...just kidding. I removed the plastidip and vinyled it. You'll notice as time goes by, you'll get tired of constantly touching it up due to rocks and debris.
-
I think when I finally get around to re-painting the front I'm going to look into a facelift option.
I've thought about it a number of times...it's pricey though which of course is why I haven't done it yet.
$100.00 Fog Light Bezels
$170.00 Fog Lights (2010-2012 won't fit)
$170.00 Black Mesh Grille
$070.00 Black Front Spoiler (Optional)
$300.00 SE Headlights (Optional)
$220.00 Front Bumper
$250.00 Paint
So about a grand.
