  1. I wish. It would be so easy outdoors here if allowed. "Adults 21 or older can grow up to three immature and three mature cannabis plants privately in a locked space"
  2. With the new house and my first yard, figured I'd try my hand at building planter boxes growing some food.
  3. Yes DIY and actually pretty easy. I did cement backer board around the fireplace and used a refractory cement which is heat resistant. Straight onto the drywall above with a standar thin-set mortar. I beveled the edges on the right side where the wall angles away so I didn't end up with a gap. We have bullnosed wall corners so I built a frame out of 1x2 for the niche to create a straight edge to apply it to. Only $8/ sq ft and no need to grout. Great business model. http://www.recycledgranite.com They get granite scraps from builders and turn them into split stones. Keeps granite out of landfills, builders don't have to pay to dump it, franchisees make money and consumers can get (IMO) a pretty cool product as a reasonable price.
  4. Granite split stone fireplace surround and accent wall. Bose Invisible wall mounted speakers. HDMI for tv running over Cat5 network. All A/V components in a rack in the basement controlled by Logitech Harmony 1100.
  5. I'll go ahead and revive this one. Wife and I just moved to Denver and bought a new home. Love that we get to pick projects based on wants and not needs to fix the mistakes and different taste of others. Glass tile back splash in the kitchen two weeks ago. 8 electrical boxes made for many annoying small cuts.

    Quotes???

"Treat others how THEY want to be treated, not how YOU want to be treated" -Tony Alessandra (I think)
  7. Average around town - ~21mpg Average since I purchased 8K miles ago - 24mpg I've done two Seattle > San Francisco round trips averaging 28mpg
  8. Seattle area. Spend a lot of time in the bay area for work and on trips 2 weeks or longer I like to have my car so I drive down. Drove back to Seattle yesterday. 857 miles in 11 hours 42 minutes.
  9. Looked about my age (31)... Ouch. Pulled up right next to me and didnt look over so I figured not on here. Saw a QSM 08-09 LGT driving home on pch around 5:30
  10. tinted SWP LGT sedan w/ Miami Dolphins license plate holder on PCH in Half Moon Bay this morning at 6.30
  11. BSM (I think) LGT w/ rack & black wheels @ Chevron on Hwy 1 in Half Moon Bay
  12. Going to be back in NorCal for the next couple weeks. Working in Foster City and staying with family friends in El Granada/HMB. I see plenty of coastal drives in my future! Just cleared my headlights and installed HID's but still need to cover squirrel finders, install HID fogs and set them up independently. Anybody in the area with some tools and garage space that would be available to help?
  13. Today? Maybe Sunday afternoon? Next week could be tough
  14. Afternoon drive and a beer around FC, 92, etc?
  15. Visa, IBM or other? I with Philips on the water at the end of 3rd ave.
  16. Sounds good. Staying at the Crowne Plaza in Foster City for the next two weeks. Big fan of the Steelhead brewery in Burlingame. BJ's in FC is good too just for the crawl home factor.
  17. Office is in Foster City. Not a big fan of hotel living so I've been staying with my grandma for the last week in Alameda. Going to stay with some friends in Half Moon Bay for a while. Probably go spend a weekend with aunt, uncle and cousins up in Santa Rosa.
  18. I spend quite a bit of time in the bay area for work. Going to be down here for 3 weeks this time so I decided to drive down (830 miles in 12 hours... thank goodness for my Escort!). Have noticed I get a lot more waves from subies (all WRX's so far)down here than in WA. IMO people down here are just more friendly in general. So if you see a QSM Spec. B w/ WA plates... Howdy!
  19. I've been on here off and on since I bought my OB in '05. I've gotten great use and enjoyment out of all the information available and this includes using the search feature. Is there a thread I haven't found dedicated to ouback mods and specific parts? Should there be? When I first bought my OBXT I spent a day with the dremel and the bondo hacking up my grille and after 3 years I'd like a new one. I thought I remember reading that the LGT and OBXT have different grilles and the available aftermarket pieces will not fit an OB. If this is correct, does anybody else make one specifically for outbacks?
  20. Just went outside to check. Left is behind the battery so yes. I have a short-ram and can reach the right but you probably have to take it out if you have airbox
  21. The sockets simply twist 1/4 turn the come right out of the housing. then the lamps pull right out of the socket. You may want to use gloves to avoid finger prints on the lamps
