  1. That is the one they asked me to watch and survey. I didn't dislike the commercial.

To the question, "Does this commercial influence me to run out and buy a Subaru?" My answer was no. My detailed comments explained what would make me run out and buy a Subaru.

honestly, I'd give the same answer for that commercial. what were some of the other questions?

its interesting that subaru reached out like that, was it a randomly generated email to you??

  2. I didn't care for eyesight and the commercial did nothing for me.

went on further to say if I saw a 3.6r offered with a 6-speed manual, I'd be all over it.

The survey and comments go to Subaru.

TIL that eyesight was first introduced in Jaypan in 2008.

Also, saw two new legacy commercials last night,

1st one, the "Broken RC Car" one where he puts it in the legacy and romps around while the kid is 'controlling' the car, i thought it was pretty funny, also appealed to the Legacy's target market which is dad's, commuting to work mostly.

2nd one, cant even remember now that im trying to write this comment, either way i thought it was pretty good. ill try to remember and edit this comment at some point.

And the one introducing eyesight to the states is a legacy heading for a wall, it stopping, and the scienturds all smiling. whats not to like about that ad, it wasnt annoying with jingles or flashy loud shit, just a simple display of their tech.

I am admittedly a fan of SOA's marketing though. throughout subie's history the ads have been pretty dang funny. were your comments based on watching the new line of ads, just a link to one ad(if so which one), or just bias against SOA

  3. Oh crap, now I gotta go look. Who's gonna babysit this idiot along to figure out how to check? I've already thrown it out there... I'll cook you dinner???

    Cheers!

this should be a 50s scifi title.

we had that too. the program was called D.A.R.E. to this day I don't know anyone my age who actually knew what that stood for.

you're mother might think differently if she read your post hah

cool thanks man. maybe you have a better eye for what's decent than I do.

  6. i was not going to pay 1800, my only response (in my head) to the guys price is "youre high" i was thinking to offer maybe 1000

he says radiator and hoses seem to be relatively new like within the last 30k. i read on the USMB that that is a major issue with these. also head gaskets is a major issue but he was not sure on the status of those. he has only had the car for about 20k miles. not sure why hes selling..

im also looking at this loyale http://pueblo.craigslist.org/cto/4456735072.html seems like the better choice

  7. Do it!

this is the info copy/pasted from craigs, edited with bold and italics by me

It has 253,127 miles and runs like a champ. Originally the car came with a dual range, full time 4wd transmission. Second gear went out on it, so I replaced it with a part time 4WD transmission. It's front wheel drive until you turn a switch, and then it's four wheel drive. This helps for the gas mileage quite a lot. The white hub caps are not on the car currently, but I do still have them. There's a few broken plastic pieces here and there, but that's pretty typical for a car of this age. Pros- 1.8 liter, turbocharged engine. Custom exhaust. Manual transmission Limited slip rear differential. Within the past 3 months- New timing belts, components, and water pump. New Exedy Clutch and transmission fluid New front brake pads and rotors New front axles Good snow tires Fresh coolant New alternator and belt Cons- The car is *a bit* rusty(pretty damn rusty imo) Exhaust is somewhat loud from in the car, but sounds really good from outside. The seats are torn a bit, so I have seat covers on them. It also has the good old subaru lifter tick, which happens in all of the older turbo and non turbo subarus. This by no means effects performance or reliability. This car isn't perfect, but it runs amazing and has never let me down. I've driven it out of state with no issues. I would drive this car across the country without hesitation. I'm looking to get $1,800
