I am looking to only lower my 2008 Legacy 2.5i by half (0.5") or 3/4 (0.75") of an inch as I live in winter country (Canada). Any recommendation on springs to accomplish this very little drop? Attached in my Legacy with 18" Rota Tarmac II and Toyo T1R tires, a slight drop would accentuate the look and handling as this is a daily driver.
Have you tried looking at RCE Springs? I'm looking into springs and it seems to have the least amount of drop to all the other brands but that's for my 5g legacy. It was about 8/10th of an inch drop if I remember correctly. Good luck!

It says that it fits Legacy Sedan (B4), chassis code BM9. BM9 is our cars, unless I'm wrong, so the Cusco 692 541 A bar should fit. That same bar supposedly also fits 2008- STi's. Now, we know the RSB from the STi fits our car, so maybe any rear strut brace made for the STi will also fit?
Thanks for finding that information!

Do they make a 5th gen Brace or does another car type fit ours? I looked and didn't find one for our cars...
I looked at the cusco...didn't find any info for 5th gen for rear strut brace. I only saw info for front. Many brands for some reason only developed front braces and not rear for 5th gen...other brand cars have both for some reason. Anyone know if any of the tanabe rear strut braces fit the 5th gen Legacy's?

So apparently you all bought up the remainder gt spec parts for 5th gen Legacy's. Gotta wait forever now. Tanabe seems to be in stock. Does brand really matter? Aluminum construction with steel plates is what all brands are made of.

Okay...I see a possible barter situation here.
I can get it at Amazon for $170. You should be able to as well.
I tried and a month later still waiting. Cancelled the orders and called the vendors to ensure they had it in stock and then ordered. Still waiting for the tracking info...

Just ordered front and rear strut tower bars again. Hopefully it goes through this time. The last place didn't tell me they were in back order, I've been waiting for a month now.

Well, thanks to you, my GT Spec rear strut tower brace is here today! Not that it will make a noticeable difference on the street, but I'd rather have it than not.
Cheers!
Do you have a front strut brace?

I am very comfortable with the RCE tarmac zeros. This setup is stiffer than the RCE black/koni combo I had on my 2.5i, but I find it quite compliant. Now, I can't take it rallying, but it does just fine over all tarmac surfaces.
The OEM springs are too soft and allow the rear to sag easily. These springs are 340#. Even the RCE Blacks reduced a lot of the sag. 240#??? can't remember.
I like the fact that I can fill up the trunk and I don't look like I'm driving a low rider.
Looks like you need a wash

Is "butt paste" the scientific term or the CT08 term?
We use Boudreaux Butt paste...yup that's the official name.

Love your legacy wagon. What country do you live in? Can't find a 5th Gen legacy wagon in the US.
