  1. And I purchased it!

Great car so far, driving really well. Innovative Tuning will be fixing up a few small issues, and tuning some new maps for me. I'd like to go a bit more conservative for the tune, focus on drivability and reliability. Looking to have an MPG map, daily fun map, and reasonable performance map.

Now, to find a way to replace the rear-driver outer door handle without spending $300...

Nice purchase! About the door handle, I had a buddy's shop replace mine for about 100 bucks using oem handle. Keep looking $300 is ridiculous

  2. Yeah I've talked to him a decent bit. He hasn't had the car long. It was his cousins. And prior to that who knows. It's all good. And I was curious to see if there was any way to verify it being 002/500. Because I did read an article that a magazine used that one for their review of spec B's.

Number plate by the shifter would be a good start of verifying it

  3. To the contrary, this steering wheel is definitely original to this car, precisely the same leather & dye as the seats. It is well worn & discolored from years of busy, sweaty hands. Striking once I got it cleaned (in the photo).

I was talking about the red leather on the wheel not being oem. The steering wheel itself is stock. That red leather on the wheel didn't come with spec b's but must have been added later. Any good upholster shop could add that and try to color match. I guess maybe it's the angle but that looks a few shades brighter than the oem brick leather.

  4. OEM turbo(3k OCI dino) with 161k miles since brand new.

    Recent issues(150k-present/last year to present)

    0) Spark plug coil

    1) Valve Cover gasket

    2) Dragging front caliper replaced

    3) Fuel line leak so line replace under intake

    4) Starter, alternator

    5) New noise is noise in driveline or wheel bearings, TBD

Before 150k from new, one single issue our throw out bearing failed($400 fix) at 105k. Nothing else.

Are you stock or what mods?
