  1. Quick update on my setup. Living in Ohio, the Salt has destroyed another set of electronics for the LED's. I had previously spliced in another set of inline controllers. Long story short make sure the inline circuit boards are water tight, inside the light housing is probably best, but then they are not accessible if they go bad... I also got water inside one of my lights after I messed up the seal installing my intake(and not noticing). This combined with the really bad fogging means I'll be building another pair soon. I'd like to try something different with the turn signal to make them brighter in the daytime while maintaining the blacked out reflector that I have. Thinking something like I have seen on some BMW's with led turn signals.

  3. These are still running fine. I did have a small period where I thought the controller on one went out, but a connection had corroded. A quick cleaning and it was good to go. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161012/2510effaceb28f6d791d5b01ce15be0d.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161012/6b5682d1027408c00d2b94a9e21305db.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks. They are some cheap led driving lights I picked up on Amazon. As for the JDM garnish, I'm not sure. They should be fine. Remember that the whole headlight is plastic. If you wanted to be extra cautious you could try a lower temp then hit it with a heat gun for the last little bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This looks awesome! I was wondering what to do on the 08-09 headlights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Try heating them to soften the glue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Your headlights look the same as mine, so you should be able to follow the instructions on the first page. There should also be a link to the lights I purchased there too. If not, I got them from ijdmtoy.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks! Update on mine, after about 9 months, the passenger one is not blinking all the time. Something seems to be going on with the module to change it from white to amber. Will investigate and post my findings.
  9. Nighttime visibility is improved almost none. If I just have the LED strips on, it does glow in the area the fog lights illuminate. It is faint, but noticible, Until I turn on my headlights and fog lights.
  10. How bright is what? At night everything looks really good and highly visible
  11. Not quite. When I bought my car, the drl's were already disabled. I wired up the white in the strips as custom drl's taping into a wire under the dash. The side markers retain their stock functionality, just switchback bulbs.
  12. Interesting. You glued yours to the plastic trim. Mine are glued to the lens itsself. I dont know if one was is better than the other or not. Being on the lens did use up all the tube, where yours is a slightly shorter distance to cover. Nice, clean install. How did you wire them up? Drl or parking lamps?
  13. Badass man. Looks sexy on the red too. Nice clean install. Any info or tips on the install for other future installers?
  14. I bought the brightest ones they had, i went back and looked. I ponied up the 65$ for the hp60 according to the email conformation. It is labeled at 172 lumens. I do love them, jusr cant see them in direct sunlight.
  15. I'm going to be looking into some slimline daylighters or something. These led things arent cutting it. Good luck on your endevors, and post up some finished pics!
  16. Pop the grill out, 2 screws and a couple clips in the 05-07. There are two holes evenly spaced in the radiator support (above the radiator) i enlarged them for the bolt that came with the lights, and installed.
  17. I like em. With LEDs it is always hit or miss. They are great about replacing them if they are doa or go out. One of mine died after a day or so. With my black turn signal housings, i virtually have no turn signal in the daytime. I cant speak for chrome, but other people have been less than satisfied with their daytime brightness. I say give em a whire, and DD should take care of you.
  18. Here is the video of them switching from white to blinking back to white. It starts kind of quick, but the transition back is totally there Enjoy! also it is from a cell phone. http://vid1312.photobucket.com/albums/t530/lsamples09/VIDEO0006_zpse01875ab.mp4
  19. I shot a video with an assistant to get the full white - blinking - white. In my frustration with the photobucket app, i somehow deleted it... Thanks for all the likes and compliments guys. Good luck on your installs and post up some pics when you get them done.
  20. I can now that i have someone to work the blinker. Stand by
