Anybody have any ideas how to get the top nut loose on my coilover? I have it off the car and it won't even come off with air. The shaft just keeps spinning. I am trying to put my swift spring silencers on and getting frustrated. I wish Tein would have put an Allen wrench hole on top to stop the shaft from spinning.

That's just a rubber sleeve that goes around the coil. it will get tore up eventually and doesn't actually address the issue at hand, but merely makes it so that you can't hear it happening anymore. The thrust sheets are a more permanent solution to your issue. the sheets actually allow the springs to rotate slightly on the perches. They eliminate any binding and in turn eliminate the noise. all the silencers do is silence the noise.
Perfect man, do they just sit right on top of the spring perch then?? Also, any idea what size I might need? Thanks so much for your help btw!

I had already read that, but thanks so much! I think it is "coil bind" and I will probably try to order spring silencers from Tein and see if that does anything.

I think the spring is just rubbing together.

It is like the spring is binding, just when I turn at low speeds is when it does it. You can see on the spring where the damage is occurring.

Fella's. I raised my coilovers up awhile ago to clean em off from winter and ever since I have been getting a clunking noise from the right front side. It is worse when it is raining or wet out. I took a pic of the damage it is doing to my spring. Do you guys think the top nut is not tight enough? Or do I need to order one of those spring insulators from Tein? Any help would be appreciated. Here is the pic, thanks!

I just spent 90 bucks on some oem subaru brz center caps for my stock wheels. I thought they would fit but no luck. I will sell to ya if you want em, 60 bucks. They are still in the box, just got em today. I just don't really wanna hassle with sending them back.

Just barely bent the rear up a bit using the bat method, not even close to rolled all the way.

Lowered down the front some more so it's sitting where I want it now. Just rolled the rear lip up a tad bit and no more rubbing:). Few more pics.....

Roll and trim the rear...again...carefully. It is doubled up. Dont break the seam.
wood bat and heat gun, or hair dryer and rubber mallet??lol....I am going to go very slow either way!!

Just pull the front carefully. They will crease/fold if not careful.
The fronts are fine, no rubbing at all. Just the rears I have to worry about. Any advice for the rear??

You think he replaced all the doors and both front quarter panels? Or do you think he just had the holes filled and repainted? Also, wouldn't the regular US spec Legacy side skirts fit or no??
I was wondering about the tire size too? Either he just deals with the speedometer and odometer being off, or I wonder if there is someway to recalibrate them?
