Working with Mike on an etune for my car, he is very helpful and actually cares about your car and it running right. Can't wait to keep moving forward with it.

Yeah peeling was easy for me! I would rather not have to put it in any chemical because then you have to worry about if it will cause the paint to lift later

Well I made the mistake and didn't remove the chrome and it caused the paint to crack and chip off. Also i glass beaded the whole thing to bring it down to bare plastic because whatever they coat these grills with started to lift after my father painted it. So this time around i removed the chrome and stripped the whole thing down. I also set it back a little. Now i just need to fix it in place and start the fun of sanding and some filler/bondo.

I feel like my perrin cbe is a tad bit quieter than my FMS that I had on Actually it got louder..

What is one worth? Around 500?

That could be what causes the extra raspiness

Do you have a downpipe too? If so catted or catless

Anyone that has Perrin cbe how is it? I can pick one up locally that is pretty clean! I am thinking about it because I have the FMS cbe but it touches the heat shields and drones a lot on highway

No problem! And yeah the top was a little harder to peel

Peeling it was very easy.. Now i just have to wait for a new crown vic grille to come in this one had so much extra from the mold it looked terrible.

im actually starting to redo mine i pulled it all apart. Primer and paint were not bonding to the chrome so i removed it like above. Going to set it back in so it has a little lip this time should be a little easier the second time around.

I would consider removing the chrome! Mine cracked a little where the chrome is.. I think I'm going to make another but I'm taking the chrome off no matter how long it takes

I may have to make another when I was doing mine my father told me to set it back in that area so there was a lip but I didn't listen and I wish I did!

Got it all sanded and had my father shoot it with some black today!
