So yeah. Back in 2019 I sold wagon project. Car was a 3.6r grey outback, redone with us and jdm legacy parts.

This car was amazing in many ways, but had problems always with suspention settings and alignment. Got a 530xit m pack instead and it’s been a nightmare car so far. Always new problems.

So I am looking this time to import a 2.0gt dit (black one in the pic) wagon from japan to do a lhd conversion. (I am from Canada)

That would be the real deal this time. Not a clone.

Or maybe a 2.5gt TS? (Rally blue one)

Any inputs between the 2 engines? The 2.0 has better fuel economy and power. And cvt.

2010-12 are 2.5gt and updated versions are 13-14 with the 2.0gt dit cvt. And usdm style front end.

Thoughts?

My used kit was about 800$us to my door and cost me around 1000$us to have them rebuilt completely.

I don’t have it right now. Look on croooober.com. I bought it from them. They are pretty rare. Never saw another kit for sale anywhere.

They developed an audible clunk. So I took them apart and refreshed the grease from the inserts.

Finally had them rebuilt from s4 suspention here in Quebec. They mostly do mountain bike suspensions but they also do jrz racing coilovers as well as Bilstein.

Just installed these. They are replacing gtworx fixed bilsteins with h&r.

The ride is night and day.

Coilovers are way smoother. It floats more above the road. I’m in love with these things!!!

Got some paint mixed to paint these rims. Will leave the lips stainless. Color is a 3 coats candy gold.

Did the Canadians always have a 5th gen wagon? Not sure how I missed this.

It is an outback actually. 3.6r. I have a thread in the conversion. If you look closely, the real legacy wagon have less widebody fenders. They are more flat than what we have here.

Rays g-games 19x8 front. 19x9 rear. Rolled rear fenders. Reshaped rear fender liners. 225-35-19.

Finished my tips this week.

Went stock size to avoid the tip hitting the bumper holes.

Im happy with the stealth result.

I have a roller and have done my old 1992 Legacy all the way around, my buddy's 1993 Legacy wagon all the way around, and a slight roll on the front of my GT. Going to tackle the Forester some time this summer. Come on over and we'll have a fender rolling day. No butchering allowed though. Its not hard and turns out well if you take your time and make sure to use the heat.

Yeah. Look for videos on youtube. Heat a lot the paint.

The rubbing is only the plastic inner fenders. They will be heated then reshaped.

Rolled my fender last night. Went nicely!!

But I need to investigate because there is still a lot of rubbing coming from the rear.

With 3.6r rear springs. There is a lot of rear camber so it looks lower on this pic.

... to the front h&r for 3.6r. The drop is almost even, maybe a real small spacer will be added, and the comfort is really improved. I think I found my answer.

I also did a test with 235/35/19 tires but they look weird. Kinda too small for the car... or for the huge wheels.
