  1. This thread is so lightly browsed and people so spread out I doubt this will work :(

    Sad too.

I mean, if somebody were to schedule something near enough to any given member I'm sure that member would show up.

  2. Who wants to help shoehorn a WRX SPT exhaust under an SH Fozzie this weekend

Well other than needing 3 more longer hangers, and probably trimming the mud flaps (at least one is up against a muffler now and melting  ) if longer hangers won't center them better, it only took an hour and a half from garage door up to garage door down.

  3. I wonder if SOA came up with some hackish way where they cut into the dash from underneath and then bolt up something to replace cut parts. Given the amount of labor required to remove dash they may have invented something.

Real question - does Subaru have to eat the labor, or does Takata have to reimburse?

  4. Their meets aren't usually boy-racer type deals. Pretty cool group of regulars from what I've seen.

Here are the places for the next 4 meets.

    May 10th, May 24th: 5 Seasons - Prado

June 7th, June 21st: The Pub - Perimeter Mall

I've been to a few. I guess I should have separated those thoughts lol. Oh well I won't be going, and oh well I won't be attending boy racer meets - which is what a lot of locally organized meets end up being.

  5. I asked about a wrxatlanta meet further up northwest and was told they meet down there but I am free to organize my own lol. I am just not into the boy-racer meets anymore anyway.
  6. It is easy enough to do it yourself, especially with ramps. I actually did mine without ramps when I was at stock height. I installed the 19mm.

Same here. I think if I were to do it again I'd back it up onto some 2x4's or something but ramps aren't required.

  7. What do you mean re-wrap? You can do a wrap yourself by buying the parts, I used wheelskins.com. Or if you want to pay I know there's a vendor that supports wrxatlanta but I don't recall their name.
  8. Be careful who changes the fluid. Dealers only! Getting the transmission fluid changed at a local shop is what destroyed our transmission. It took about a year before it was so bad it was un-drive able. An expensive lesson. There is a very specific fluid to put in and way to put it in.

I'd add Subaru specializing independent shops to the list. There is one sorta close to me that uses all the right stuff and does a better job than dealers for half the cost.

  9. Yes. I know that it's ridiculous to gripe about it, but then rental isn't even close to the vehicle that we paid for.

Oh, I'd gripe too! I wonder if they'd give you the cost of 2 years of rental towards the purchase of a new vehicle  If not, I'd demand a rental equal to the car I can't drive.
