Grimmspeed, how bout an update...throw us a tiny bone as to how its coming so that we have a reason to keep checking this thread daily, lol.
http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4719116&postcount=152
They posted an update 13 working days ago btw. If they were JUST creating a TMIC for us legacy peeps I would be more inclined to be more in touch with them, but I can see their R&D being very alot of the time.
Cheers

Hey guys,
Recently bought this 3.0R Spec-B, runs a lot better then my old 93 Hilux haha
Lovin' the 6-speed manual too!!! Came with 18" Blitzen Wheels but other than that completely stock. I have just painted the grill black and chucked on some short Coby mufflers, so it's pretty much straight piped (minus the drone)!
Enjoy
P.S. Im also considering spraying the rims black (because everything looks better in black right?), what do you guys think?

wrx wheels look rad on your LGT

I'm leaning towards the Clutch Master FX350. A vendor here on the site has a deal going for the clutch, flywheel and throwout bearing for a good price.
I'm currently stage 1 but am going stage 2 next week when I get this clutch installed, with Matt doing all the work.
One last question, I'm getting all new gaskets for my up and downpipe install but am not quite sure which one I need for the shorty downpipe to mid pipe connection?

Lol i find myself scouring the internet looking for a good condition CATTED dp, beacuse, as an engineer myself, I understand that they were put there for a reason. I choose not to compromise on noise and smell, while staying under the radar, and complying with the law. If I get pulled over, I want his only bitch to be speed or window tint.
Serious performance machines all come from the factory with cats, and in many cases, the additional heat generated by a cat promotes complete combustion and increases thermodynamic flow effects in the exhaust stream.
keep on your search man. I found a local catted invidia downpipe in almost perfect condition (used less than 500 miles) for $400. They are out there. Good luck
-
Because I choose to run a catless exhaust based on the market options I have available? Really now, what's more selfish? Me choosing an option freely available on the market, or you two insisting that I choose a route that makes YOU feel better?
And because I chose to go catless, I deserve to lose the car? How arrogant can you get?
Should everyone who ever has owned a modified car without a cat have it impounded? I suppose Formula 1 should be banned along with every other form of motorsport. It's not even my daily driver, FFS. Lose the soapbox please.
HA! Classic!
Chill out man.

not sure if the OP had a wrapped DP but my new setup just smells like a bakery during this break-in period. No complaints here. DEI wrap smoked a little in the first 50 or so miles, and im sure the silicone coating was the butter on my bread. mmm Im hungry.

5250 has a boss spring compressor
PM sent Mike!!
-
Yall recommend any shops to install lowering springs? I would do the install myself but I just dont have the time currently. If I dont hear anything from you guys in the next few days I may give Matt a call at Max Automotive and see if he has any time. When he did my clutch he said that he is pretty quiet during the holidays.
-
nah, painted aftermarket 17s, bought them used, big offset is all i know. makes the stance look much better. grill is dipped though. Thinking of dipping the stockers in the spring.
yeah im thinking of dipping the stockers right now (for a winter set) and then find some rota gravels for a summer set.

Dropped off the LGT at Max Automotive this morning and Matt thinks he can get it done by this evening. So far he has been very nice and easy to talk to and is staying true to his labor rates of $398. Might try and get down there later and get some pictures while the car is up on the lift.

purchased a comp stage 2 clutch and LWFW.....got a steal thru http://www.eurosportdesign.com/default.aspx!!! Still cant quite believe how cheap I got it.
Will be contacting Matt at Max Automotive in the next few days to get the car into the shop.
Do you think it makes sense to put in a TSK3 while the clutch is out?
-
any recommendations for a shop that would do a good job installing a spec stage 2 clutch and flywheel? just about 1k miles after buying my new (used) car the clutch is starting to slip....not too stoked on it. but excited to get a better clutch in there.

Be careful of this kind of deal. I have never been to this shop so I cant speak on there quality of work but I have been lured in by deals like these. Same exact deal 5 or 6 years ago at a different shop, what they dont tell you is every seperate peice of glass is considered a window. So on your leggy assuming your getting everything tinted but your front (some people do). Its going to be 7 windows, so I imagine those two extra is where there going to get ya. I took my 78 wagoneer in for that kind of deal and by the time I was out the door it was around 400 bucks. Although I will say it has 11 pieces of glass not including my front. Either way you can call them to verify this. Good luck.
Before I bought the Groupon I called them and asked whether or not they would still honor the groupon if I decided to upgrade the tint. On their website they have 5 different tints, ranging from good quality, best, better, etc...) The groupon is for the better quality tint and he said that its the same tint they all have on their cars.
Yes the LGT's have 7 windows but I made sure ahead of time that each extra window wasnt a crazy amount more...only $20. Which is fine with me since I am already saving almost 200 bucks in the first place.
Ill get some pics up after I get it installed.
-
Has anyone ever been to performace window tinting in Englewood? There is a groupon right now for 5 windows for $99. Friggin steal. Thinking maybe Ill give them a call and see if they will honor my groupon even if I decide to go with an upgraded tint??

attempted clearing my headlights yesterday but couldnt remove the bolts that are found underneath the headlights (where the bumper attaches too) I could get all but one. Tried spraying pb blaster on it and everything. Anyone have any ideas as to how i could tackle this?
