  1. Ride quality with 18's is hardly different than stock. If anything, it rides better, depending on the tire and size you put on there.

You don't have to go "lower profile" as the tires are already low profile to start with. Your profile will be determined by the width of the tire you want...

  2. Several people are running it on the Legacy platform with positive results. Also, thos calcualtions were made with what now appears to be possibly an incorrect stock rear piston size.

Positive pedal feel is probably more like it. But when I called Stoptech, the guy there specifically told me not to buy the WRX kit, b/c they are specifically designed for that car. Not saying you won't see any "positive gains" or anything, I just think you'll see much better benefits if you go with the one designed for our car (since the piston sizing differs from the wrx kit to the Legacy kit).

Just throwing it out there that the wrx kit is indeed the wrx kit, and just b/c it fits does NOT mean its specifically designed for the legacy...

  3. I added the WRX Stoptech kit to the calculations. I do not recommend this kit as you will drastically shift bias to the rear...

Glad you're telling people :)...cause it definitely is NOT made for the Leggy, that's why stoptech has made a specific Leggy kit.

  4. I have NO idea how much they cost or where to get them, but my intuition tells me that a three piece wheel is going to be FAR out of my price range.

    :-)

If they weren't heavy to start with I was considering raising up the funds for them. Really no comparison. They are top notch and look the best that I've seen so far. But they really do weigh a buttload.

If you don't care, it is worth it to save up!!!!:p:spin:

  5. how much horsepower does a stage one make? i want to go to stage 2 but i drive 40000 miles a year alot of city driving im literally in my car all day most of the time. will a stage 2 effect reliability- to what degree, will a stock clutch hold- will i need to make suspension upgrades to handle the power? considering the amount of driving i do do you think the stage 2 will be liveable?

Lots of info around here on that. Search stage 1, 2 etc.

Stage 2 is liveable. Just about right for power needs in normal driving circumstances...

  6. ^ Darn right baby! That was me! That wagon was lookin hot btw, nice tint job...

You didn't seem excited at all to see me...I was a little hurt :(. But thought I'd give one last try for a wave...:icon_bigg

Cool beans, that's my first time being sited! You beat me to the board, I was heading to install my coilovers. Where were you headed?

  7. So according to your calculations Praedet, the Rotora 4pot front and 2pot (69.9/30.1%) rear are just about close enough to where the biasing should be for our the Legacy (70/30 being your recommendation)?

What pad mu is that using???

Thanks for the info you've posted here...because of it, I've been having second thoughts about putting a BBK on the legacy that was specifically designed for another car ie- STI, WRX etc...

I talked to Stoptech today, and I was advised NOT to buy a kit made for the WRX, as the piston sizing was drastically smaller than what they recommend...and the STI sizing was 2mm bigger than the WRX kit, but also 2 mm smaller than what they made their LGT specific kit, therefore it wasn't recommended to do that either, because of the biasing situation that you have posted up here (too much front bias)...

If I PM you the piston sizing on the Stoptech kit, can you calculate out for me the bias they have on their kit for the Legacy?
