Autozone has (or at least the did have) some LED's that are a brighter blue. I did all my own interior lights so I don't know how close they match the factory kit, but they might be worth looking at. I can't seem to find them on the website but I've seen them in the store before.

Also, in regards to the reversal of dimming I was running into, SVXdc was able to help me (as always). Turns out the dimmed signal is a pulse width modulation rather than an analog voltage variation. See his post here for details:

Has anyone found LEDs that are a good color match to the ones in the inter illumination kit? I'm mixing and matching but unfortunately the LEDs I bought online are a dark blue instead of the light blue/teal-ish color of the OEM ones.

Also, I hooked up the LEDs to the dimmed illumination line on the radio but now the dimmer works in the opposite direction of the other lights in the car. Anyone had this problem before?

The first day i put 35 % tints all around , lightly tinted the tail lights , and finally bought 07 wrx rims.
