  1. I have 60k on my 2013 Legacy.

I just talk to my local Subaru dealership. They service front and rear differential and they do not flush or change the fluid in the transmission since it's CVT. Is this correct?

I was lucky enough to get my CVT fluid changed due to the fact that the Valve Body had a solenoid failure. The fluid change plus the valve body replacement ran me $1800. Still paying that POS off.

  2. I finally bite the bullet!

Just got a good offer from the seller of electronic supercharger here for USD600. They gave me a big discount to test their supercharger for 15 days with money back guarantee. If I don't liked it, I can always returned it to them without questions ask. I have inquired about this last November and they contacted me last week and ask if I'm willing to test them for 15 days for a discounted price. They claimed it can improve fuel mileage by 10-15% and increased torque by 20-30%. It gets its signal from the throttle and another from the ignition.

Below are some of the pictures of the e-supercharger kit. The e-supercharger is not that small as I thought, the inlet diameter is about 75mm while the outlet is 70mm.

The only problem is the installation manual/instructions are in Chinese but the good part is it has pictures. Looking at it, it seems quite simple to install them. I hope to install them this weekend.

So, who makes this thing? I want it. This car is a dog.

  3. PBJ = Probation Before Judgement. Basically, you go to court and the judge throws out the points, as long as you don't get a ticket within the next year (I think -- it might also be six months), but you still have to pay the fine. I got PBJ when I got a ticket in 2007, and again when I got on at the end of 2011. Both times, almost everyone in the courtroom got PBJ. I think Maryland is the only state that has it.

Basically, in MD, they don't care about the points if you're small-time, they just care about the revenue. But apparently, they don't care about the revenue as much as in TX.

In Texas, the larger cities give you that option. In smaller towns, its more difficult. Speeding on urban highways is easy, quick and fun. Speeding on rural roads is risky. Generally, I wouldn't travel more than 8 over on rural highways as a rule. Of course, I might burst to a higher speed, but cruise at more than 82 mph in a 75 mph zone and you are fair game.

  4. I'll mail you the bill next time. It actually cost almost the same as one I got for going 25mph over. Our toll roads are privately owned, yet publicly patrolled. First cop I saw bought me doing 95 in a 70. I was speeding on purpose then, unlike ether other times.

That's life. Our toll roads are going up to 85mph soon, which is awesome.

I can't wait! I live in Houston and am going to make my every 6 month trip to A-town when this happens. I am looking forward to being able to drive on a road that I'm going to be largely legal driving.

  5. I've got the Whiteline 22mm adjustable as well. The brackets do not alter rear alignment.

The brackets replace the OEM brackets since the new bushings are bigger. The bolt connects the brace to the bottom of the bushing bracket. It's just a longer bolt. Here is an example from an 08+ STI that is similar:

Will this setup work for a NA Legacy as well?
