  1. The stock throttle mapping on MT cars has the plate 'hang' for a few milliseconds after you release the pedal. Sudden throttle closure and accompanying deep vacuum causes a spike in emissions so their strategy I think is to chop the injectors first and then allow the throttle to snap shut a few ms later. It's one of the most common complaints I get from owners about the stock mapping.

    That must be it!!! Thanks

  2. Seems throttle has a small delay to closing and reducing revs. have a suspicion that it could be mechanical, lubricated the spindle that the pedal sensor is on, see ow that goes.

Holy Cow, Cruise control works after my 6MT conversion.

That Manual Rom is doing the trick.

    Thumbs up throttlehappy!!

    Custom mount done by shop.

Have a manual Rom on mine and all going well so far.

Just has an overrun when changing gears, not exactly sure why....

Oh well, knew some fine tuning would be needed.

  4. ECU looking for tcu but can not see it so Check engine light and throttle limp.

Loaded in throttlehappys new manual tune ROM and now no check engine light, no flashing cruise light.

Drives well but now I can go SD next dyno session and turn wick up again! :-)

  5. I've broken two centre diffs in my built 5eat - ACME pinnacle kit that Adam did with a Hexmods / Climber D VB, plus brass bushings from frankster.

Both times shattered the centre diff input and output shaft and in the second case, I sheared the teeth entirely off the centre diff input shaft

This was until I Sonic Xrayed, Micro-Linished, Shot Peened and Cryo treated my entire centre diff, input and output shaft and all planetaries etc. Did this 2 and a half years ago and haven't had it happen since thankfully. Also shared this with Climber D Dave and a few others at the time.

    Version 10 JDM GRB EJ207 making 530-550whp

I feel your pain, your builder got the clutch balance closer than mine.

I have smashed 2 built autos now, brass sleeves in both center diffs.

What I have learnt is that too much clutch with a modded VB will destroy the and shaft gears everytime.

The shock load on the the center input/output shaft gears kills them.

I only had 366awhp at the time too.

Those 1 to 2 changes were awesome though!!

Have legacy 3.0rb 6 speed in it now.

We will see how it goes once turn wick back up.

  6. Collected the bounty 2 years ago ;)

Swinging from idle to near rev limiter in every gear like they should. Instant gear changes, handling 440whp on stock autos

Already been programming them locally for nearly 3 years or so

Well you will have to sort mine next Friday to get a huge gold star to your name!

  7. So the center diff in my 5EAT took a dump, and one have suggestion on the most economic way to replace this?

I feel for you, having spent 10K on 2 x built 5eats I just think they can not handle my power level.....but stuff it, 24 psi tomorrow :-)

  8. Sorry I meant $35000 not $3500. But yes I measured everything I fully blueprinted the block, everything was looking good. Except for the oil leak from that crap pan. I'm not really sure what went wrong. This is just beyond depressing, I just want to drive my car, it's been a year and a half since I've driven my car, and it's still my only car.

    Oh crap!

That was my original purchase price........ouch man, ouch!

  9. Gday Mick, Sooo the USA R&D department are getting the kit together for you:)

Just PM'd them to find out price etc, this could save my local guy heaps of time and me potential issues.

We will both be giving these 5EATs the acid test with many ponies.....
