Oh! Well for the seatbelt chime I just did this...I had the same thing happen...half the time it would work and the rest of the time...DING DING DING!
that's literally how mine is... half the time no dash light no ding. the other half ding s and dash lights. where did you splice that in ? that looks different from the resisters I was looking at
-
you don't need a video...it's easy. Just unbolt 4 bolts holding down the seat, unplug everything (after disconnecting the battery), trick the seatbelt sensor with a 3.3ohm resister, so you don't have the seatbelt warning light and the constant dinging or airbag light on, get yourself some seats and brackets = done. Word of advice...DO NOT REMOVE STOCK SEAT BELTS...you will want these. A 4 point harness looks cool, but f*ck trying to drive around with it on. Trust me on this...I cut mine and removed, just to end up buying a new set and reinstalling.
where did you place the resistor only hang up in my seat swap sometimes it works sometimes it dings

Any update on the build ? Been following this and curious what the issues would be on a new sti transmission and even if it's possible. Love what you've done

Lol sorry life has thrown me some curve balls and wanted to make sure it turns out perfect. I left out the last part and had to re edit. I'll have a couple days off this week and will post the link along with photos here of the seat wiring so anyone can see what I had to do to wireeverything. Power seats and bolts are plug and play. Plus you need to swap out seat beltsSoon was 3 days ago....Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

Also cannot find a wiring diagram for the 2015 wrx/Sti seats. That would speed this up. Till then the seatbelt chimes every 45 seconds

Update. Seats are bolt in direct. Only issue is wiring the passanger and heated seats. Got the drivers perfect but the passanger is above my ability and more lack of proper tools. Ordered some tools and getting some help on it on Tuesday.

I actually didn't mean the wiring. Ill explain it more in my write up. But seat rails line up just takes getting them dead center. That's what I was thinking. So power sti seats, then get seat covers to match.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

Yes but that's a whole different levels of wiring I didn't want to get into yetThe limited version of the current gen STI & WRX seats are power. (as well as the 2018 Recaro's seats)Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

I thought of going to power seat route...but didn't want to fuss around with it since no one's tried this yet. I got such a good deal i could try wiring those but the air bag wiring is a pain all on it's own.

Seriously....no you don't. You'd be $700 lighter in the purse and no faster on the street.
Good point at 700 I can figure something out plus don't we have other down pipe options ?

Everything since 07 has seat airbags I believe.
Pretty sure this is correct. It could even 06.

Interested to see what you end up doing here. Just found a nice set of 2012 wrx seats that I imagine are equally as difficult to mount. Slightly off topic but do all subaru seats have airbags? I don't see an srs tag in the pictures of these like our stock seats have.
I'm pretty sure they all do. Thanks to a member on here I know it's possible yo retro fit the 2015 sti wiring to the legacy/outback ones
