dude that sucks! if they said something with the O2 sensor I'd have to think the code they read was something to do with that.
the codes I had were the 'too lean' and misfires. mine is actually all set now, they replaced the four IM gaskets and covered it under my extended warranty... now I think it's all down to who you talk to. the guy I spoke with @ the dealer said no way gaskets are covered under SoA Powertrain warranty, and they'd try to call it in on whatever else I had. I think CT08 got his covered under SoA.
the only positive is that the issue is pretty well documented, and other than it being a PITA to remove the intake manifold and get the job done it's a pretty definite fix.
I will have a nice cold ride home to make sure that it really has been solved.

knowing how you drive thats all i would give you if i was a dealer
hey it has 148hp, and I can turn the traction control off in this snow/ice business. so the curbs bettar watch out now! but damn the CVT is weird, and I don't really like it.
OT, the dealer has confirmed it's the intake manifold gaskets and will take four hours to do. now I just need to convince them it is somehow a powertrain issue (seems like it would be, but gaskets are a wear item?) and should be covered under my warranty.

NA or turboed?
pretty sure it's a 2.0i premium, so NA.

thats what I did and it seemed to work
Best of luck with it Jon I really dont hope they charge you or give you a hard time about the issue
thanks Jay, yea I hope it's quick and painless. meanwhile I get to drive around in a '12 impreza. so there's that lol.

have mine in the shop today to look at this... though they want to check out the plugs and coil pack and all that. it seems to be a known issue but you have to talk to the right people who will listen, I can't imagine they like a customer coming in saying 'I know what the problem is, fix that!'. will report back.

would seem to me it's definitely possible to be the same issue even with warmer temps. if the o-rings aren't making the best seal when cold and then expand and create a better seal at temp then the rough idle goes away.

hoping to be back in the market for one soon! very clean mod.

I gots that rough idle... calling the place CT08 knows

Just sold my last one out today. I prepare a few at a time for shipment so I should have more in stock in a few days.
