Thanks for the insights, any pictures or ideas as to where I could pick up the adapters would be appreciated!

I have a 2012 Legacy Premium with CE617U1 radio and want to add a back-up camera. I saw on a local Subie forum the PE669U1 radio that I could pick up cheap.
I understand that the PE6xxU1 models (with 4.3" display) use completely different harnesses than the CE617U1. I have emailed and PM'd SVXdc, but haven’t heard back from him…does anyone know of someone else that makes these harnesses as I really want to retain my Bluetooth and the steering wheel controls.
Also, do I need any special harness to add the back-up camera? And will any back-up camera work or do I have to purchase the OEM Subaru version?

I am still sitting on the fence about the letter...part of me thinks I am sitting on a time-bomb and another part of me thinks great I now have a security blanket.
I guess this is the current gen version of the head-gasket issue I had with my last couple Subies.
The good news is my twins start driving in a year so I guess instead of us being in the market for a beater car perhaps they will get the Legacy and I will get something else...lets hope my wife goes for that logic!

Way to step up Subaru! Now what about all those who have paid out of pocket for their repairs?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
The letter actually came with a reimbursement form (see attached). So if you paid out of pocket for a repair under the new warranty period you can submit it with the form. Not sure if they are going to give you dollar for dollar, but at least it is something.

Anyone else get this letter?

Wow, that is nice upgrade. Let us know how you make out with the warning lights. Does the temp gauge work correctly?

That TourX lowered would look incredible. I already really like it, hopefully it stands up quality-wise. Any official power ratings released yet? 2.0 turbo 4 sounds pretty promising for 250+ hp at least.
I actually recently parked next to the current Buick Regal GS and thought that would be a nice next car. Glad to hear that they are going to continue this line. That means I will be able to pick up a nice used example of the current model at a good price when I am back in the car market next year.
By the way the current 2.0L DOHC with VVT makes 259 hp @ 5300 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque @ 3000-4000 rpm or 2500-4000 rpm for the GS model...so I am sure the new model will up the ante.

Charlie Simon balding, red haired man walked into a jewelry store this past Friday evening with a beautiful much younger gal at his side. He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend.
The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5,000 ring.
The man said, 'No, I'd like to see something more special.'
At that statement, the jeweler went to his special stock and brought another ring over. 'Here's a stunning ring at only $40,000 the jeweler said.
The lady's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement.
The old man seeing this said, 'We'll take it.'
The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the man stated, by check.
I know you need to make sure my check is good, so I'll write it now and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds; I'll pick the ring up Monday afternoon.'
On Monday morning, the jeweler angrily phoned the old man and said, 'Sir...There's no money in that account!
''I know,' said the old man...'But let me tell you about my weekend.'

Last year around xmas my BIL got a new Audi S7 and he wouldn't let anyone touch it. Well 1 year later he let a few of us give it a try and I have to say the V8 Twin turbo with the dual clutch is amazing...hit triple digits in no time flat and it didn't even feel like I was giving the car a workout yet.
Nice car to dream about, but doubt it would ever fit into my budget!

My DD 2012 Legacy Premium with 2012 Legacy GT wheels is due for new struts after over 84,000 miles. I would like to tighten things up a bit and wouldn't mind a minor drop, but don't want to put tons of money into the car as I am most likely handing it down to one of my kids in the next year or so.
Therefore I was thinking of just going with the 2013-14 springs and struts (are the OEM struts the same as the KYB Excel-G struts). Does anyone have the part numbers for these items? is there anything else I should be replacing in addition to the springs & struts?
TIA
