  1. I had the same issue - left front door did not open for 2 month. After doing all that was recommended the door just opened 2 days ago, I have no idea why...I put everything apart but everything was perfectly clean. Put it together again and it seemed to work but the rod to outside handle did not move so good. I lubricated the lock mechanism, waited 5 min and now everything works excellent. Lubricated the other door locks as well just to prevent problem.
  2. Your piston rings could be worn to the point of letting boost into the crankcase. Do a compression test on all cylinders and see what your numbers at at.

With the PCV valve, did it move easily as you shook it? Blow into one end, lets air through, other end stops air?

I changed for a brand new engine 12.000 miles ago so the rings are hopefully not worn. Have long thought of doing a compression test, main problem is that its so tricky to get to the inner holes.

PCV valve seems to work well when blowing gently and also sucking.

When do you have the highest pressure, its it at low rpm with high load or high rpm?

  3. Hi, can I ask you a question. I have cleaned the PCV valve, looked real clean and fine. My problem is that I have blown 2 crank oil seals. When checking the second one I could have pressed it in another 1,5 mm, maybe that is why it flipped out over the edge. Anyway, how can I check if pressure is too high in engine? A friend recommended me to take off the oil filling cap and check if its puffing. Is there a better way?

  4. With the warm weather here, I wanted to play more with AVCS. Previous best highway MPG was 26.9mpg with this tune plus Closed loop to Open Delay disabled.

    New map:

    Compare that to stock map:

This increased the gas mileage to 28.1mpg with AC running full blast! Please note this is actual MPG (not gauge) done by calculating miles driven divided by gallons filled up. I also account for speedometer inaccuracies (mine is off by -1.5%). I'm surprised it's this high with closed loop to open loop disabled, usually that will lead to worse gas mileage because you hit rich AFR's instantly instead of having a buffer of leaness when you add throttle.

Hi, Many thanks for uploading the sheets again.

Would you suggest some additional changes on this as I am running on 95 octane, not 81 as I suppose you are doing in US?

  5. Agreed, just uploading to the site is not fluid, and not as easy to embed images. Plus it makes it harder to upload to other forums then too (most forums require you to have a local account to see locally hosted images). I just puckered up for a pro photobucket account so I have unlimited bandwidth now. This site is hit a TON more then the Nissan forums I frequent. I had the free account since 2007 with 10gb bandwidth and never had issues. As soon as I started posting images here, hit 10GB in two weeks .

Now I probably wont pay for Photobucket forever, so I will try to upload images to the How To's so they do stay on this site for ever (maybe even PDF's).

Hi, I would be soooo happy if you can upload the AVCS sheets again. I am to do the same on my car
