  1. Hi Everyone,

Just looking for some information. Anyone with the 3.6R having any stalling/ECU issues? Mine (2011 w/ 238k km) has stalled on me twice over a two week period. It has been abnormally hot here in Toronto this July. The car does have a tune(ECUtek), but that was done years ago.

The first stall happen was city driving in the evening. The steering wheel felt heavy and when I looked down had some lights on. Rolled into a side street and then put the car in park. I was able to restart the car without issue, but all the lights cleared also. When I got home, I tried to download codes, but my OBDII(Kiwi 3) didn't find any.

The 2nd time occurred when I was on the highway going 110km/h, had to throw the car in neutral(put by 4-ways on) and tried to restart the car. It restarted again, but when I attempted to put it drive and gently apply throttle, it cut out again. So I threw it back into neutral again and restarted. This time when I applied some throttle, the car did respond. I was able to get home without any issues after that.

I'm going to drop the car off at the mechanics this week. Speaking with some friends they say it might be a harness issue or ECU or both. Just looking for some thoughts or opinions from other owners.

    Thanks, JT

  2. Quick question about PRS LWCP. For the people still using it, are they just replacing the crank seal periodically ? Or has everyone just removed it and put the OEM back on.

I ask because I'm still using it for the last 2 years or so. Had a issue with my belt coming off the pulleys last night due to rusted ball bearings. This brought to light the crank seal. I've tried to check the thread for a more definitive answer.

  3. Sorry to bring up an old post! I've had RCE's and Bilstein's for 2 months now and the ride is very, very rough here in Toronto - pothole mayhem!

Eibach's 7722.140 plus aging 2011 OEM shocks a good combo?

Or put the Eibach's on my current Bilstein's?

Or should I really invest in the Koni's 8610-1453S & 8010-1055S? (Are those all the parts I need? Spent a lot on the RCE/Bilstein combo already..)

Performance not priority, just want to get rid of the boat feeling without being harsh. Thanks GTEASER!

I'm in Toronto also and have the RCE/Blistein. I would be interested with what you setup you change to. I've been using this setup for over a year and it far better than stock, it something I can live with.

  4. Hi guys,

What alignment specs would you recommend for a DD with Bilstein struts,RCE Black springs, 26mm FSB and 19mm RSB. I do have adjustable rear LCA installed.

From what I've read, I'm thinking -1.2 to -1.5 in the fronts and -1.0 to -1.2 for the rears. 0 toe front and rear.

    Thanks.

  5. Quick update on XRT (Xtreme Racing Tuning) e-tune progress.

We are on the 4th, 5th revision now and the car runs better than ever!

As smooth and linear as she was in stock form with less than 100 miles on the ODO,

but of course far far stronger.

Very crisp, quick throttle response all around

Great low and mid RPM torque and power delivery in any gear

Strong high RPM and WOT pulls (she pulls hard well above 6K RPM)

    Butter smooth idle

Drastically better 5EAT behavior (gear selection, holding, engine braking, shifts in auto and manual mode)

Improved sensor readings and ranges (IAM, A/F Learn and Correct, MAF voltage vs g/sec scaling: happy engine, happy ECU)

Further refined engine sound (likely as a result of AVCS, base and max knock additive and cruise timing table changes)

The tune has rounded out all the mechanical mods and even stabilized Bank1 and Bank2 AFRs, especially at idle and under CL driving... exactly where I need and want them to match.

Hats off to Ed for his work! We are almost done I bet, just refining at this point.

How did the tune change your fuel economy overall? I'm using 89 tune now using EcuTek(278hp/276lb) with the headers installed and seen fuel consumption take a hit. Still make long road trips from Toronto to Chicago every year, so I'm interested if your changes and it effect on your economy.

  6. Finally got the pics from fabricator. So I kept the Perrin AB exhausts, so everything from the headers to the AB are new.

I got the headers put in. The spacers were installed. For some reason there was still bit of rubbing on the sway bar in some situations. This was causing some knocking on starts and vibrations in the chassis sometimes when stopped or slowing. The installer had to make a small divot in each header were the rubbing was occurring. After that, it runs AWESOME !!!!

    Thumbs up to Raptor Superchargers!

Pics will go up shortly. I wasn't able to take any while it was up in the air, was at work while it was getting done. So I'm waiting on the installer to send me the pics he took during the fabrication.
