  1. I understand that you want stuff in base and RT.

Not sure about that, but you can run out of space on the base map and have to use the realtime map to fit in additional changes.

As for driveability, ST is definitely the way to go if you have patience. A pro tuner in 45 minutes just can't do as much as tuning yourself over a period of weeks/months in a bunch of different conditions.

  2. What is with you folks  The sensor used in the widebands is OEM in a bunch of cars and it is not replaced every week. It is fine to leave it in so long as the heater is powered.

the specs that came with my WB kit (bosch sensor) even state clearly that worst case, located in front of a turbo and exposed to all the high temps and pressures that it shouldn't be, it will still be reliable and accurate for 500 hours of use. Put it behind the turbo, and I agree it isn't worth worrying about, especially when its only $79 for a new one anyway.

  3. Let's see, we have two setups that will clearly never work (20g+TMIC+boost-a-pump on one hand and an upgraded turbo on stock fuel on the other, and as if that isn't enough they're both running WI which is very unreliable). I'm very worried that they'll both just blow up before they get to the end of the track. In fact I'm sure of it, since there are probably some reused gaskets and copper washers thrown in there... keep lots of fire extinguishers nearby!
  4. I have been PMing with Edmund and wanted to post this here so everyone can see it.

I have been tuning my boost with the WGDC tables and run into a few problems. I would like more boost in 3rd without over boosting in 4th/5th. I find myself cruising a lot at highway speeds and over boosting. So I would like to understand more about the table called Boost Low-speed but there is nothing in Cobbs help or manual about it.

So what is it and how do you utilize it?

I'm curious too - having individual WGDC and target tables for each gear would be a nice way to go about it ;) short of that it seems the WGDC table has to strike a compromise between building boost quickly (and getting enough of it) in lower gears vs. boost spiking in higher gears, but I've yet to see anyone use the low-speed table to adddress this. I'm not sure it will work since it's speed based - just where you want high boost in 2nd gear is probably where you'd also want less boost in 5th gear...

  5. We have updated various StreetTUNER technical documents and I wanted to make sure I let you guys know.

All of these updated documents can be found from this link = http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31091

Thanks for the update! I tuned my car for the PE850 injectors and started back when you only had the advertised latency values listed, so I'm very glad to see I wasn't way off base when I had to bump them up quite a bit to get the scalar value to make any sense.

  6. So I have a twin in UC. I'm in Niles and travel through UC to work in Hayward. I've seen only one other ABP wagon in Fremont. Currently I'm sporting a roof rack with two bike attachments. I'll keep an eye out for you.

You guys must all be on the other side of the dumbarton, because I never see any GTs, let alone other ABP wagons, here on the peninsula.

I've also got two bike trays on every once in awhile (though lately they've just been in the garage).
