Well I just got finished, took me about 3 hours. I took my time though, wasn't in a rush. I tested it twice before I put it back together and the sound is perfect.
Two hints for anyone reading this that hasn't done it yet.
1) AT install: lifting the chrome piece, make sure you have your screwdriver properly shielded, I scratched my plastic even with using electrical tape. This piece is not held down using clamps, instead it is just wedged in there with tape/foam.
2) The clips in the back of the HU were tough. I think the instructions would help if it gave hints on which pieces to take off first and where to pull.
-1st should be the hazard clip, but use the clip on the inside on the HU.
Otherwise the instructions were very clear and perfect for most people. Thanks again for the great overall package, worth every cent.

Anyone in the tri-state area want to do a install day, lunch on me?

I just read the other aux-in device thread, what exactly is the difference between these two approaches? Couldn't you guys work together on a single device?

After looking at the pictures, would it add too much costs to add a small casing or some type of shrink wrap around the board to prevent shorting and damage?
-
Might want to add one to the faq:
How does the sound quality compare to a line in fm modulator? I would assume it is perfect, is there any audible loss?
Count me in +1

Push my luck as well...
1 White and 1 Blue Sedan GT various times around Hoboken.

just got done doing this, took about 15 min. Tools needed pannel popper and philips screwdriver. Pretty easy for a novice to do.

TLS, you may have a problem. I guess safety is your buzz. Lets all push for mandated yearly drivers lic testing for those over 65 or 70. Now that is a real safety issue.
+1 Insightful

parkerqc8,
Thanks for coming here to reply. You should forward these requests to the decision makers at cobb. It seems there are many people on the fence about purchasing an AP. I have the money, and I'm prepared to spend it on an AP. However, future development of maps and a steady release cycle is an important decision for me.
thanks for listening, hopefully we will get an ETA for these new maps.
