don't forget different tire manufacture sizes are different even tho the specs are the same
Federal 225 = some other brands 235
This is very true.
255 StarSpecs measure 261mm wide.
and
265 measure 272mm wide.

Here's mine. Same wheels as Hanger.
18x9.5 +40
Tires are 255/35R18
5mm spacer up front to clear the RCE coil overs. No spacer in the back. Rolled fenders.
Even my 255 wide tire looks mildly stretched on a 9.5" wheel. I wouldn't go any lower than 245 unless you're into that sort of thing. But I personally hate tire stretching. Handling is ass.
If you wanna run a 225 or 235 tire, an 8" or an 8.5" wide rim is more than enough (and cheaper!)

I couldn't decide, so I have both.
My wagon is not a GT, so it's slow as molasses, but the gas mileage of an NA motor is very appealing.
I wish they made a Spec B wagon. Mmmmm 6-speed.

Use this. Enter your stock size, and enter some other sizes you're considering. Try to stay within 3% difference.

I like both wheels. But, do you have a BBK on your car? You said the wheels will be 19's. If your brakes are stock, the large holes of the Work wheels will expose the small brakes.
My vote goes to the 2nd set. I've never heard of this brand. But they look like Rotiform BLQ's.

Very very nice! I'm digging those 760's! Did you get any rubbing? The gunmetal looks awesome on silver!
Thanks for the compliment.
They're really growing on me.
I had some rubbing in the rear. Click on the link below the pic. I posted exactly what I had to cut/trim to eliminate the rubbing.

Why not go with a 235/40 then?
Because Tire Size Calculator.

Overall wheel diameter is smaller than stock.

It's been done :

But I'll post mine as soon as I have them on.
Fingers crossed that nothing will rub. I really don't wanna roll my fenders on this car.

Here's another wrx wheel fitment off of a 2012 wrx. The tires are 245/40/17 Falken Azenis FK-453.Here you go. The rear sits in a little deeper. The 245/40/17s make them look a whole lot better than the 235/45/17s they came with. I do plan on some spacers for the rear a bit later.
When these wheels first came out in 2011, I didn't like them at all. But they grew on me quickly. Especially when I started seeing them on other cars than the new WRX. They look sharp on our Legacy's, and your car inspired me to get a set for my wagon...

Here's a set I just acquired. Unfortunately, they didn't come with tires, so I'm on the lookout for a set of 245/40 summers.
I know you said they fit well without any spacers. But I'm just curious, are your fenders rolled? Are they a close/tight fit to the suspension on the inside (having such a high offset for 8" wide wheels)? Is your car lowered? And lastly, what lugs are you using? They look black in the picture. What brand are they? Do aftermarket tapered lugs fit these wheels?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you sir. That looks great

^^^ nice! I love the OEM look.
I'm curious how the offset of those wheels looks on our cars. Do they sit deep inside the fenders? Or do they sit more or less flush? Can you please post pics from the front or rear of the car so the rims are visible. It's hard to see the offset from side profile shots.

Summery weather touched down hard in Canada during the month of March. I took my winter wheels off the car this week. And since my G-Force wheels are in the shop getting a fresh coat of paint, I'm rolling on my track wheels for now...

Kicking it old school with Advan RG-1's
I'm not sure I'm a big fan of ABP + Gold on the same car, but they're functional.
