    Background Information:

Looking to part way with my 2010 Legacy GT. I am fairly confident that I've melted/damaged the #1 piston. There are misfires in cylinder 1, it's burning oil, and a borescope showed some shiny areas near the edge of the piston.

Otherwise, it had been running well. If you have a replacement short/long block already, it should be ready to go after installation. Looks like there are quite a few imported engines available - or do whatever you desire :)

The drained oil was not full of metal, it still starts and drives (onto a flatbed) - It is very lumpy due to cyl 1 issues.

As far as aftermarket/mods, the only items it has are a short shifter bushing and group N transmission mounts. Window Tint all around. The rest is stock/standard/oem.

Both sides puddle lights are not currently working (corroded) however I have replacements that I never got around to installing that would be included.

New front calipers in September of 23

Clutch was replaced in December of 23

Tires are 2020 Yokohama AVID ASCEND LX in 235/45/R18

Weathertech floor liners front and back

STi shift knob will be replaced with the OEM knob

Has normal interior wear for the age and mileage. There are various dings/scratches, etc, nothing major, not rusting.

Quick pics are on the post, I will get additional pictures soon, as well as give it a good cleaning inside and out. Pardon all the dust!

  2. This was last Saturday, but I finally got my center differential replaced! It had been having binding issues for awhile. Ruled out tires, etc..

Had all the parts (diff, bearings, etc...) got everything out OK, then ending up damaging the transfer drive gear when pressing it off the bearing. Ordered new replacement, weeks on backorder, ended up going w/ a used gear. Put everything back together... it works!
