  1. At this point I'd rather buy a MT 5th gen legacy over the current WRX MTs. Wish they'd make another LGT as it'd be an easy decision for a next car. I find the Legacys way above Imprezas in interior and ride quality (not quite as go-kart-ish tho) and more enjoyable to drive around in. The new legacys look ugly to me though.. too mainstream on the design and the wheels *barf*.

I guess I'll hold out for the refresh on the WRX/STI and hope there is slightly more leg room in the back with some more comfort options and that larger HP. IF not, my days of Subie are done.

I'll be watching the next iteration of the STI also simply because there's no more GT. I hope they can make more of a discrete model with a wingless option. I like the more adult-like feel of the GT.

As someone pointed out I would also expect the leg room to grow so the interior could actually be very similar to our 5th gens.

  2. I'm sure you have heard the news. There's a 2020 Legacy turbo (XT) but it will only be available in CVT automatic transmission.

I'm hoping to start an interest list of those interested in a manual/GT model (spec B?!?), where in my wildest dreams this is presented to Subaru and they make one available (2021!?).

Never done this before. Perhaps even link to other forums. I'm a manual transmission advocate and I understand that it's decreasingly desired, but there will always be a small market for it.

    What do you say?

  3. I bet the front bumper add-ons from non-US countries won't work (*tear*) since I've noticed the fog light area and fender accents/wheels differently into the front bumper.

However, the rear bumper looks the same. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Ugh! Why do they short the USDMs all the time!

Does anyone know if all the world's Legacy's/Liberty's/etc. are built in the U.S. plant?

  4. Is that nifty rear bumper kit (with the trapezoidal exhaust finishers) available as an option in Australia? Anyone know where we can get that in the U.S? I would pay a pretty penny for that look! I always felt like our rear bumpers looked high and naked compared to the rest of the car.

    We have two:

    My mother MY 2.5I Sports.

The Sports model in Australia gets Bilstein suspension, alloy pedals, 18-inch alloy wheels, sports bumper, xenon low-beam headlights and carbon fibre-look dash inserts.
