Good advice, except the dealership will deny any stuttering and surging BEFORE you take it in, so trying to convince them to fix this aspect of the car seems pointless (my dealership literally laughed at me and denied any knowledge of a problem and wouldn't even look into it. In other words, if it ain't broke, we ain't gonna fix it, mentality).

OK, I'm going to ask an off the wall question. I have an aftermarket nav/head unit (Avic-Z1), I can buy a PAC SWI-PS to connect the head unit to the steering wheel controls (theoretically, since they do not show a Subaru anything as being on their supported vehicle list). On the installation directions, there are 3 wires that you physically hook up. A red (switched +12v), a black (ground), and a third wire (either a white, yellow or orange wire) that hooks up to the steering wheel connection. I printed off the wiring diagram for the steering wheel controls and I see that there are 2 connections (a purple/white for pin 7 and an Orange white for pin 6). Which of these connectors would I tap into from the PAC unit using a single wire?

I agree. My H-Techs are wonderful. Ride is near stock (i.e. comfortable), body roll is reduced, but the bumps are a little harsher. Also, watch for the curbs, and those concrete parking lots stops.

I would also add on the rear shocks that when you reassemble them, to tighten the top bolt on the shock down completely (i.e. until it stops and then tighten it down some more). This is the mistake I made and the first test drive revealed clunks from both rear shocks because I did not tighten them down far enough.

Great writeup. I was contemplating the Cobb set, but I think I will go the Cusco route as there seems to be no issues with them so far.
