Great thread. Gonna bump it cuz it got me through this rust-filled-hell-job that I did this weekend.
First wheel bearing/hub assembly job for me and these were my takeaways:
1. Rent/buy a hub puller - don't even bother without one if you've even driven your car in the rain
2. Soaking the bolts etc with PB Blaster the week before definitely helps
3. Originally ordering the correct assembly helps and reduces seat time on a bicycle when the rear hub assembly you ordered obviously doesn't fit in the front (facepalm)
4. Whiskey helps a lot with the frustration, rust and general anger towards 150k miles of seized shit.
Thanks lgt forum for all the useful tips in this thread!

Has anyone had any luck with iphone 4/4s to 5/5s adapters for this kit?
I've ordered two off Amazon that say they're audio compatible andddd they just charge.
Suggestions?
Pm me! Thanks!

I hope not. Does yours? Any phone will get hot if the processor is being taxed while charging, but "really hot" isn't a term I like to hear. My android phone gets very warm if watching video for extended periods, but not what I would call dangerously hot. I wouldn't expect streaming audio or playing music off the internal flash to overly tax the phone, but it's not impossible either.
it charges extremely fast, no complaint there.
it does get hot enough when charging through the aux cable that it's definitely noticeable through my jeans if it's on my lap...and this is just listening to music, not running any other apps etc. i hooked it up to the positive for the cig lighter if that has anything to do with it.

I would strongly suggest heading over to your local Autozone/Oreillys and renting one of their wheel bearing pullers. I went down a similar road as you before doing so with no luck. Got the puller and 15 minutes later, it was off.
Looks similar to this:
