  1. I believe we get in on the 31st and then I think we leave on the 8th. I already know I more than likely will only have time off the ship in the evenings as we are pulling a piston on the main engine while there as well as changing out several exhaust valves all of which are full day projects with all hands needed for getting it done.

Nice! Well if you want to meet up one night while you're there just hit me up on instagram or something.

  2. Coming up on Japan again in the next couple weeks. This time on the plus side the schedule shows 10 days in Yokohama which should give me time to explore and maybe find some places to buy parts. In the mean time I decided I needed to write down everything I've ordered so I remember what to look for and who to get in touch with when I get back.

    Japan parts

    -DAMD Wheel

    -Aluminum pedal covers

    -OEM Footwell lighting

    Legacybt

    -Ohlins

    Friend back home

    -Prodrive P1 with snow tires

Currently working on a deal to get a full set of 07 spec b seats and door cards and have talked with kalien32 about potentially trading him for his 09 spec b seats based on which looks better in my car if the blue alcantara is too much.

What dates will you be there? I'll be in Yokohama the 29th of December through the 9th of January.

  3. JDM SpecB half leather/half black Alcantara rear seat in full recline mode.

Wow, I had no idea there was a JDM rear seat that had leather/alcantara. Had I known I probably would have tried to source one of those before paying for mine to be fully reupholstered. But car is looking great, loving the added interior pieces!

  4. Have you had passengers spend time in your rear seats? Are they happy with the noise level? There's a big difference in volume between my front and rear seats, largely bcuz wagon.

I get almost-complaints with my K2 Gear exhaust.

Yup and no complaints! That was one of my big concerns when finding an exhaust for the wagon and this one seems to be a good balance and little to no drone. Obviously it's slightly louder from the back seats but you can still carry out a conversation.

  5. I've taken it out for around 100 miles. It is definitely much more subdued than the Magnaflow, which makes sense since the mufflers are about 1/3rd bigger. I'll have it out again tomorrow and I'll try and grab a sound clip. I made one for the Magnaflow before I took it off. I love the fitment though. Wagon specific is awesome.

Oh you've definitely gotten to experience it then. Fitment on these is amazing, really fills out the rear end. Looking forward to seeing it on your car, I'd love to do a video our our cars together at some point.

  6. I'm probably in a minority here, but I'm normally not a fan of the JDM front bumper. However, what you've done looks amazing. RBP + lip + lowered + rims + headlights + grille = Nicely done, and beautiful photos!

Thank you! It's really finally starting to look like I have imagined it for the last few years and oddly enough it somehow looks even better than I anticipated. Now I'm starting to think what's next as I'm nearing the end of my hoard of parts that have been compiled over the last year or two.

  7. Good stuff. I follow his Instagram, good photographer. Great at shooting cars.

Yeah his car photography is incredible! I have been into photography for a long time as a side hobby but when it comes to quality photos I am more than willing to pay for his work.

Hell ya, looks great! Brandon does an awesome job, cool to see his progress.

His progress has been insane, really refined his automotive photography.

Your front end is so sexy

Haha thanks, I'm glad to finally see it on the car.

  8. Yeah I had PM'd SC with his name. I just wasn't sure about posting his name on here. But anyway I'm tempted for any future dealer required work I need done to make the hour drive down to Eastside purely because of how well they treat their customers.

He didn't have his wagon at work that day though. He's been driving his Carerra C4S he bought more than he originally thought he would :lol:

Oh whoops, my bad. Well if anyone is going to Eastside after reading this hopefully they ask for him. Haha

That's funny, he was in the middle of buying the Porsche last time I was there. Poor wagon is being neglected...

  9. As far as dealerships go I'm not the biggest fan of going to the dealer for work to be done. However my experience today with Eastside Subaru in Kirkland was absolutely fantastic. I got on the list yesterday for the dash extended warranty and had the dash replaced today. Dropped my car off at 9:30 this morning and they immediately grabbed it and got to work. Gave me a loaner for the day and then I came back around 4 to check on everything and they took me back into the shop to see the car as the tech was putting it back together. Got it back around 4:40 and was on my way home. It hadn't occurred to me at first but they must have written down all my radio presets since when I started driving home all my presets were still there. Definitely A+ customer service and work quality. Also helps that the Service Advisor I talked to is also an LGT owner and is one of the best service advisors in the area as far as I've heard.

Definitely to second this, Eastside is the only dealership I trust with my car and Nichi always takes care of me. It's nice to drop my car off knowing it will be taken care of to my high standards and not taken out for a joyride by a tech.

Thanks for that write up about Eastside. I don't want to take my car to Walkers, and I'm unsure of Scarff. Chaplins is definitely out.

Do you recall which service writer you had?

    SC

Nichi is who he's referring to and is great! As Gunnar mentioned he also drives a heavily modified LGT wagon.

  10. I really really really like the center section and the quarter shots. Still not in love with the fat added sideskirt on the profile shot. And yes you need to get that installed! I'll be moving back at the end of April.

That makes sense. On the profile shot it lines up with the trim under the door, if only you could run the spats and sport skirt.

Alright, I have a deadline now. Haha

  11. Don't ask how I was able to find these from Japan but I did and I can tell you they feel amazing when you sit in them. Yes they are going into the car. Yes they come with side airbags. Yes Adan at AQ Motorsports knows how to make them work with swapping in the Weight detection system for the passenger side and it's going to be awesome.

Good lord, those seats! I would do unspeakable things for a set of those...

My grandpa has this 60 Gallon husky pro air compressor that he's been talking to me about selling. If you're interested I can get you a price and more details. The compressor is pretty much new condition.
