The rear wiper on my 05 Legacy GT Wagon is not returning to the correct position when turned off or on the intermittent setting. It stops at random spots. The only way to get it to stop in the correct spot is to run the wiper and try to turn it of at the exact point when the wiper is in the right spot. Any thoughts?

I have the Yakima EZ Riders. I have not found the noise to be bad. I initially had the bars and a Yakima fairing and noticed very little noise. Now, I have a Yakima cargo box on most of the time (with no fairing) and there is some more noise. I would say that the sun shade provides a good deal of noise insulation. When I put the sunshade back, the noise is much more noticeable. You might find yourself keeping it closed (unless you want a good look at your bikes).

Also I imagine that the bikes might create more noise as my cargo box has some aerodynamic shape to it.

Regal Blue LGT wagon headed downtown on West End Ave. (@70th St.) this morning. I had just parked my Regal Blue LGT wagon in a lot around the corner. If you have a Limited with MT, then we've got the same car.

Silver GT Wagon often parked on Central Park West around 85th/86th Street. Walk/drive by your parked car all the time.

There have been a number of threads that cover various roof rack alternatives but it's difficult to find a comprehensive list of the alternatives. Please post if you have a rack system that is compatible with the roof rails on the Legacy wagon. For each brand, which towers work? I'd like to get a sense of what the alternatives are.

 

Commentary on pros/cons would be helpful as well. For example, would using a lower profile tower like Yakima's low rider present a clearance problem with ski bindings hitting the roof of the car?
