subscribed. found out yesterday that the front right boot is torn.
grease all over the downpipe. smells really "manly."

the link is correct. the mod locked it and "deleted" it.

What's our stock output? I can't remember off the top of my head.
For that matter, what are numbers for a typical stage 2?

Here we go again.
PartyRock - SeeeeYa is wrong, and he won't listen to science. Let him live in his own little world. For a reason why, I suggest investing 5 minutes into reading this: http://lifehacker.com/5811255/why-you-cant-win-an-argument-on-the-internet
stop being so surly.

i have this mod and it's been doing well so far.
i dd my car and really don't do anything else with it.
i had a problem with the end tank looking like it was beginning to separate. maybe i was wrong, but i wasn't willing to take the chance.

i got worried and started looking around at options. a friend pointed me to the BP mod.
when i crimped down the tabs, there was lots of movement. if nothing else, i have peace fo mind that i likely prevent something catastrophic from happening.
the big pluses for me:
1. stock is good enough for me. i can't justify spending $600 on an upgraded TMIC for my type of driving.
2. the wife didn't bitch about the amount of money spent!
would i like to have a sexy after-market TMIC that'd gain me a few extra horse? hellz yeah! but i also like having the money to spend on something else instead of on something i don't NEED.
just my 2 cents.

the NASIOC thread is locked and "hidden."

yeah. i'll have to remember that. it's just that i avoid shopping at Wal-Mart, so it doesn't occur to me. the other thing i need was an extra quart. didn't want to deal with keeping a gallon jug around since i always carry the remainder of the 5th bottle in my trunk.
i actually bought 5 OEM filters from the dealer after my last oil change, so...... it's the little blue one.

2nd oil change with castrol edge 5w-30 on the LGT.
it's always been good to me in the past with my beat-to hell wrx. was thinking about rotella, but they only have straight 30w or 15w-40 in gallon jugs.

Look for the tests of any oil you are considering. The key test for heat breakdown is called the viscosity index. The higher the number the better it resists thinning in heat.
can you provide a quick and dirty way of reading/understanding these tests? and where to find a test carried out by a credible/unbiased entity?

i buy whatever's on sale at advance auto; castrol edge, castrol syntec, valvoline synpower.
have heard good things about rotella and am thinking of trying it.
