You bet all the suspension stuff helps.
I now have 04 STI struts and springs. 22-25 Rear sway bar. 25 Tribeca front bar.
Solid endlinks all around.
It is NIGHT and DAY difference from the WRX strut to the STI strut.
Heck yes im sure it is! I would love to have STi suspension. My legacy is my snowmobile. I have oversized snow tires on it so I cant lose any heights. Thats why I went with the wrx suspension. Its from an 07 wrx. I would like to put aftermarket struts on it when these get old.
Do think I would lose some of my neutral feel in handling if I got a front sway bar?

If you want WRX springs on your current Outback struts....you just need the top hats.
It will be a crappy setup though. Match the springs with WRX struts as well and you will be happy
+1 to that. With my new wrx suspension, ralitek endlinks, and rear sway my car is a beast in the corners.
O and thaks for the alignment info.

I guess I will have to look into this further. i really like those consoles.

Cool info Jab. Maybe ill look into an H6 instead of a wrx swap. So can I assume an STi tranny will bolt up to the H6 as well?
-
So can I put in an 05-07 interior from a wrx? I know the seats that I can swap in but what about the center console and door panels?
-
ive always likes the ebc pads enough to not know how hps is ha
I have been the opposite. I have always heard great things about the ebc but have always used hps. A friend of mine just put ebc on one of his cars and said he likes it better than hps. Well nuf said I will give the ebc a try on my next pad swap.
Also the equal length header link doesnt work anymore. The one that fits our cars is just the one for the 2.5rs right? Like this one:
-
the caliper brackets are needed to.. any 02-04 will work
So if I order rear rotors for the 02-04 wrx those will work for the rear on my 99 GT?
-
yes the rs25 had the ej251, which is the same as the 3rd gen leggy.
Yes that is jb weld holding that piece in.
So its not the same as the one in my 99 GT?
-
Yeah I could do something like that. Is that black piece from the stock intake? I havent taken a good look at it before. Thought about making my own but it might be cheaper to buy that ebay one and modd it.
And off subject question: does the 2.5rs have the same 2.5 that the GT is running?
-
it depends on what seller you get it from, there are some that sell the tube with only 2 inputs for the 3 vacuum lines, others have all three, but theres no way to know which is which unless you ask them...other than that, its, bolt on.. super easy install
dont forget the 3" maf adapter though like i did, ha
And what did you do for the 3rd vacuum hose? Should I just drill a hole and find a way to get it to stay on the intake or did you come up with a specific solution?
-
Ah I like that idea. At the very least I could use a stock sti muffler. Thanks
-
Alright what about the stock muffler? I dont think it looks too bad. How restrictive is it? I would just adapt it to my exhaust. I already have a crazy loud car so I want my GT to have a bit of sound but still be a GT kind of car. Know what I mean? And yeah min will be totally strait piped. Does that matter?
-
Nice sounds like an easy upgrade. Ill look around on ebay. And responding about the exhaust (trying to keep everything on the right thread): really 2.25 is the best? I have someone who does custom exhausts for me all the time so I can pretty much have any size I want. I was thinking 2.5 but 2.25 works better?

Zues
So that link to the ebay intake will that bolt up without any mods?
