  1. Are you registered with a club? You should be able to get details of the offer when you are eligible. I should be coming up on eligibility in Sept some time. I can let you know when I hear, but I imagine you'd be ok with an outback, just make sure you follow the suggestions in this thread.

     

    Thanks. I am actually already registered with a club for more than a year, so I am eligible. What I was asking about is restrictions that SOA might have, not wanting a brand-new model available for a discount right away.

  2. My (admittedly limited) understanding of the program is that SOA basically sends a check to the dealer for sales under the VIP program to help offset the effects of the reduced price. Does anyone know exactly how much the dealer actually gets back from SOA?

     

    I'm thinking that you could haggle a low price before mentioning VIP pricing, and then split the check with the dealer to get a net price below regular VIP pricing.
