  1. 4th Gen LGT with BBK (red calipers), LGT.com sticker, Tein sticker pulling out of the Mt Sinai Hospital patient parking garage in NYC around 2:45 this afternoon. I was waiting to pay in that biga!s line. I hate spotting lgt's without mine, i don't know what to do.

Wow the one between 97 and 98? I've been working at the Sinai MC construction job on 102 and I have been parking at that garage almost all summer, I haven't seen that one before. Only had my OB there a couple times so I doubt anyone has seen me either.

  2. Sold out?

Bummer. I'll be ordering one real soon.

Has anyone done an iPod-specific mod with the dock connector? Something that will provide line-out to the stereo and power to the ipod?

    Here is my install:

^ The cable I got was: "Long 5ft iPod / iPhone 2-in-1 Audio and Sync Cable. Apple Dock Connector to 3.5mm Audio AUX (Auxiliary) Connector AND USB Charge/sync Connector" I didnt like the cable in the cubbie, so I ended up hiding it underneath. I drilled a couple holes for the aux-in, the usb cable, and the sync cable.

^To get the sync cable through I removed the cig lighter and cut a small notch to the holes for the cables. I used tar tape to fill the holes around the cables.

Thats a "elago Nano EL-Car-001 USB Car Charger for iPhone, iPod, MP3 Players, Digital Cameras, PDAs, Mobile Phones and more (Black)" for the charger, and I dont have any noise issues at all when charging and listening to music.

    ^ Switch location.

    Thanks again, great product

  3. Just spotted a black lgt, debaged, tinted, and nice shiny cans lol. I was watching a bike on the FDR in the right lane when this lgt gets right in front of me (I'm not driving), and I didn't even see it until it was past me. It's funny too because I was just thinking while on the bqe that I really don't see many lgts and BAM! Spotted this one like 10min later. They got off at 23rd so I couldn't get a closer look, but what I saw was clean, nice car.
  4. Hey all, today was the day. I finally got the audio cable I ordered from Amazon, so I installed the Leptronix aux-in after I got home from work. Started at 3:30 and finished up at about 8:30 with little to no breaks in between. Here is my experience:

Getting the radio out was easier than I expected.

The directions he provides are very good, knowing to have a #1 star bit for a few screws ahead of time is nice. I ended up having one, or at least it was just a very small phillips head but it worked out well anyway.

The worst part I found was putting the CD player ribbon cable into the Leptronix board after it was mounted to the box. I tried taking the front plate off and that was a very bad idea, it took me a while to get it back together.

**What Ive learned is you should test fit the CD ribbon cable to the Leptronix board before you mount it. This will make it a lot easier to get the CD ribbon properly seated when you can barely fit your fingers in there.

The switch that came with it had posts that were a little too big for the connectors, some prying with a flat head screwdriver did the trick. I bought a high quality audio cable that was almost too big to use, it was 10' 22awg. I would get something easier to manage next time.

I should post pictures but Im so tired, I'll do it tomorrow after I get a chance to drive around and listen to good music for a change lol :) Thanks RF!!

  5. Lol tailpipe vag sounds like a win in my book. But seriously I apologize for being a dick, for some reason I really get bent seeing them and I took it out on you. And for the record I have nothing against the boonies, I grew up going to PA every weekend and all summer.

Btw I spotted a really clean two tone OBXT parked off Jewett ave on SI, first one I've seen since owning mine. Also saw a sick LGT or possibly spec b parked in the city right next to gramercy park about a month ago. All blacked out, big mufflers with 3 or 4 inch tips.

  6. well you can sleep well tonight knowing I didnt put them on it for you. I put them on because I think they are funny not because I'm trying to show how tough my car is :lol::lol:

I do things to my car for myself and for 20 bucks I have already gotten a number of laughs by having them on there. You just added another one to the list.

Oh, and my car does go to the "boonies" every weekend as its where I grew up. I don't have them on my pickup truck though. maybe ill put them on my boat trailer :)

Haha, I'm sorry I got carried away. This isn't the right place to BS about car testies anyway lol. Hang em in good health.

  7. mine has just become easier to spot. Its now a lowered silver 06 spec.b with exhaust, and flesh colored testicles hanging from the rear tow hook tied on with parachute cord

    ^^Really?? I mean, really?

I've been waiting for the chance to cut a pair of those off an leave them on the hood with a note "haha, I cut your balls off".

Just curious but if you really do have those balls hanging from your car, what exactly is it saying? Your car is so tough it needs big balls? Maybe the car is fem looking and the balls even it out a little lmao? I hate those things, I'd rather see a car riced out to hell than see that on a car. Keep those on the trucks out in the boonies where it's appreciated lol. Otherwise your car sounds nice.
