  1. What camber values were you hoping to achieve once all finished? Also, a little confused when you say "...I plan to leave the car at stock height." How will you be leaving at stock height? This suspension swap alone drops the car a couple inches, playing with the geometry big time, though it seems like you've read a bit on it, so you would know.

I swapped OEM LGT struts and springs, and upper control arms onto my H6, however I didn't remove the subframe spacers. From what I remember, the camber could've been corrected to w/in spec using only the KCA399 kit as it's good for +/- 1.25°.

I'm on OB-specific coilovers in a 2.5i now, using both the KTA124 and KCA399 kit in LGT UCAs, again I have not removed the subframe spacers. I appreciate the adjustment range these two kits provide on harmony, and highly recommended getting both if you can.

I've never removed my subframe spacers, and I wish I had hard numbers to provide to you for my H6 car, just inputting where I can. Hoping this helps some.

*edited original post. Planning to stay at LGT wagon stock height which I’m told will be about a 2” drop after I remove the spacers.

In relation to camber…possibly a little negative camber. Nothing crazy. -2° at most. Not looking for a track car but I’d love for it to handle.

My question is can I get by spending $60 on an adjustable bushing vs the $400 arms if I plan to stay at LGT wagon stock height. As I understand it there is no rear camber adjustment from the factory. Will adding a minimal spacer for saggy butt spacers push me toward the more expensive route?

  2. Getting ready to remove all the subframe spacers on my 2008 Outback LLBean H6. I have an LGT wagon parts car for the suspension bits. Both are Auto. I plan to run SpecB Bilstein Struts off a SpecB along with a few aluminum bits.

I plan to use the OE LGT Wagon Springs. I assume I’ll be a bit lower in the front vs LGT stock height because of the weight of the H6. Im told I may want a bit more height in the rear as well. Thinking saggy butt spacers. Hopefully 3/8” is enough?

I need some help with the rear camber adjustment.

I’ve looked at the Whiteline adjustable arms (KTA124) but Im hoping I can run the upper trailing arm bushing (KCA399) instead as I plan to leave the car at LGT wagon stock height.

    Any input would be appreciated.

  3. As title stated looking for a DD. I never see the non-outbacks and was hoping somebody may have one they’d part with here. Looking for n/a and 5MT only. Closer to Niles, MI 49120 the better! I will travel for the right car.

    Lmk!

  4. That's reassuring. From what I have been reading the dual mass flywheel that these came with from the factory absorbed the gear noise to a greater degree. The LWFW is just not able. I have no noise from the TOB with the TSK3 Kit installed but the gear noise is noticeable on decel and in higher gears at lower rpm ranges.

I've also been playing with the clutch to see if there was an engagement issue that might be able to be corrected by the helper spring set-up but after driving around for a bit I noticed a small decrease in noise decreased in 5th at 50mph but no change in 3rd at 30mph...It seems like if I'm staying over 4K rpms the noise is pretty much gone...especially with any acceleration. Thought thus could be drown out, to some degree, by my exhaust.

The noise was a bit bothersome at first but I've grown accustomed to it as it's not changed at all in nearly 20K. I have no issues with the clutch as it grabs great!

  5. Sorry to dig up an old thread but being that you guys have experience with this clutch set-up I wanted to get your impressions. I have been running the Spec Stg 2+ Clutch and LWFW in my 05 LGT for about 20k. Also have the TSK3 Kit and kartboy shifter bushings. In low rpms, in higher gears especially, I have gear noise on acceleration and deceleration. Noise goes away when clutch pedal is pressed. Clutch engagement and grab are amazing. Drives wonderfully. I've always assumed that this was in relation to the FW but wanted to make sure I wasn't ignoring a bearing, etc.

  7. Found another set. Not too surprising as they are almost identical in offset to our OE wheels. The hub is a different size up front but other than that they look decent!

  8. In all honesty, I am converting back from BC BR Coils. I am looking for a bit more plush/stock like set-up and these seem to have the stance I am looking for as well. I'm in my 30's w/ an infant daughter and when we hit a decent bump ,on our well manicured MI roads, I see her little hands fly up startled...makes me feel horrible every time.

I'm open to suggestions on a spring that's in between...but as I've looked through this thread every single set-up that catches my eye is discontinued...COBB/Eibach...

...And from what I understand these are the rebranded Eibach Pro Kit...so that's about ideal...plus I should have some dampening control with the Koni's. At least that's my logic thus far.
