I was referring to the two idler pulleys on the 2014 2.5 liter engine

 

Can anyone confirm that the two idler pulleys on the 2010 - 2014 2.5i NA engine are identical?

 

Tried searching but came up empty handed... thanks in advance.

Hey guys,

 

My mothers car threw a CEL, P0453, along with flashing cruise and traction control light.. She said she was unable to put fuel in tank, kept on spewing out. I pulled out the OBDII and came out with P0453 Evaporative emission system pressure sensor/switch high..

 

I tried doing some google & forum searching but came up empty handed..

How can I troubleshoot this to determine whether its the fuel tank pressure sensor, vapor canister, or vapor canister purge/solenoid valve??

Finally warm enough outside so l changed my plugs. Bought the car with 15k, now at 90k. Yikes, long over due.... Contrary to popular belief, it was not really a PITA But I don’t have super large hands either.. FYI I didn’t jack up the engine either.

Just got some fresh Mobil 1 synthetic into the front & rear diffs. Had some trouble locating front fill plug LOL

Figured I’d chime in here.. I had a 2011 with 167k on it, original CVT fluid (I know, shame on me). Car had zero issues. No shuddering or stalling. Then i was T-boned by a Jeep.

 

Currently 88K on my 2014 Legacy. So far zero issues with the CVT.

" The thing is finding the OEM harness was a bugger on the passenger side. At first I thought it wasn't even there. It took quite a bit of searching to find it it was so tucked up in there and hidden. To get to it they do show you to drop the wheel well lining (which I did) however, the graphic in the install manual is very deceiving. The plug on the passenger side is pretty much up under the intake's airbox. I had to remove the airbox to get to the tape that was holding the plug harness in place. You can identify the harness by the pale red / almost washed out pink colored tape holding it in place. On the drivers side (LHD) it was easier to find but in the same general vicinity, more up towards the headlamp direction and the same type of tape holding it in place. The end of each plug has a protective cap you need to remove before plugging in the OEM harness. "
