  1. Haven't had my LGT for years but in the process of moving and found some bins of parts for the car.

     

    This is a digital PLX DM-6 multigauge, AFR and boost modules, AFR sensor, all the wiring you'd need.

     

    Includes a bonus cubby in excellent condition and include the rubber mat. Foam at the top is wearing off but that's easily cleaned/replaced with some weather stripping. Include the cubby pod as well, small crack in the side. Could be super glued very easily.

     

    From what I recall, I bought this off a guy that never ended up using the setup. Sold as-is, I never got around to installing it bc I had a 3 gauge a pillar setup I liked too much at the end of the day.

  2. Thats where I am tonight.. had sprayed them a few times past few days, still cant get them to budge with the impact and don't have it high enough to get a long cheater on it.

     

    Do you have a long extension? I did mine on jack stands on a lower setting. The socket extension allowed me to sit on the ground, put my foot on the extension as a brace, and then pull back on it with my upper body. Still took a little bit but eventually they broke loose.

  3. Replacement for VF38 twinscroll turbo?

     

    I've been told by a few people that the manifold and downpipe fit ONLY this turbo.

     

    Can anyone confirm this? Seems silly to create the exhaust and manafold to be compatable with only one turbo..?

     

    Sure would like to upgrade..

     

     

    Another VF38, TD04HLA-19T, I believe the VF44/45 will also fit the flange configuration.

     

    The VF36/37 and VF42 will not fit the flanging for the VF38 style turbo.

     

    I was looking at a TD04HLA-19T, but they are hard to come by used, and wasn't going to spend the money for one brand new. I had nekdut/kirbwrx's VF38/PE1818(18g) setup and the oil seals went. I was pushing 23psi through it til it started to give up on life. Will probably end up throwing the piping up for sale, was debating on trying to rebuild it but after it was pulled and I saw the shaft play...went back to single scroll with a vf39/ewg (got a hell of a deal localling on the turbo/ewg setup).

  4. You don't have to pull axles, but it does give you a little more room. My adventure last week was actually getting the transmission out from under the car on stands to crack the case and replace the front oil seal/main shaft needle bearing...I was yelling at my car a lot. Definitely recommend that you pick up some new axle seals if you pull the axels tho.

     

    The best tool ever for seating your axle seals or rear seal on the tranny assembly is a $5 sprinkler system t-coupling that fits perfectly on the outside of the seal and doesn't mash the inside rubber part that protrudes out. :D

  5. I went Hog stg2 b/c I was extremely bored on Tuesday...I love it! lol I even had people at my work telling me 'it sounds so good...what did you do to your exhaust?" Then it's my turn to just laugh.

     

    As far as the bolts that don't want to come undone...a little squirt of PB blaster...let sit a couple minutes and presto. WD40 or similar would work as well. If you don't have a breaker bar to get them to budge initially, you can always try a little length of pipe on your ratchet handle...or just use two boxend wrenches end on end (open end on bolt...open end of 2nd wrench in the box end of first to give you more leverage)
