Just slight fitment issues. It was designed for a right hand driver car.

This is what it looks like with the JDM Dual HVAC Kit with the Crutchfield single DIN kit. Hopefully, it gives you some more ideas.

Sorry I've entered this late. I ended up doing a single din setup with the JDM HVAC a couple of years ago. The funny thing was that Crutchfield sent me the Base legacy setup, which I cut with a Dremel. I imagine they have a double din setup. The biggest advantage was that I didn't have to do any cutting in the car.

parked next to a stock ABP 05/06 LGT on base tonight

I saw two LGT's one silver and the other blue (think the blue was a 08-09, not positive). I was driving from East lyme rt161 to rt85 in salem. I was driving a Red G8 GT though, not my legacy.

 

Was that on Saturday? I was in the area Saturday evening.

I've seen a 05 Garnet Red LGT on the New London Base in the parking lot by the barracks several times this week. Stock wheels, but looks like an upgraded exhaust.

Just verified the Ebay Vag-Com Cable I got. Connects using both Romraider and ECUflash. Thanks to everyone that have contributed to this thread. I'm currently running Vista on a HP laptop. Now to start logging:coffee:.

 

I received the cable from smooth-dealer under USB OBD2 OBDII Vag Com KKL Interface Cable for Audi VW about $14. It took 3 weeks to get.

I ended up reading a bunch on on this website and romraider.com I downloaded the driver from the ftdichip website. After downloading the drivers (go here), I connected the cable & let device manager find it. I restarted my computer, reconnected the cable, and everything seems good to go. I think someone even mentioned windows update fixed it for them.
