Wow I just paid $120 to have mine cleaned, decked and pressure checked.
-
Under $1000 coils last max of 2-3 years, while kybs and h&rs will last you 10 years.
You can put konis on our car easy, wrx stuff fits the same and they make them for the wrx.
-
You are way better off with kybs and h&rs with spacers over cheap raceland coils any day. Plus they will last many more years

I have been at 242k for about a year now....

The limited differences are painted body moldings (skirts, lips, mirrors), upgraded sound system and leather. Everything else is the same between the limited and non-limited.

yeah, if this thread didnt suck so much ass...
you'd know that up front, you can use any aftermarket strut bar from a 93-01 GC impreza, MAKE SURE that it's one with low-profile brackets, or else your hood wont close
in the back, any 02-04 bar will work, should just be straight across, no bends.. that bolts right up
Justin PM me I have all of the old information in a google doc

h&r's seem to be a favorite around here.

For a DD springs would be much more comfortable

I might of had that backwards lol. The 3rd gen has either one more wire or one less wire than the 2nd gens/neons do
-
Hey brok, concerning the link you have for the MSD Coilpack, will that fit my 01 leggy? thanks
No the third gens have a different coil setup.IIRC it is a 4 wire plug to the coil pack vs the 3 wire on the 2nd gens

I'm picking up OEM radiator hoses tomorrow morning and installing them. I have replaced all other coolant lines except the two that go to the heater core. They should arrive special order on Tuesday.
Hopefully my 22T didn't take a crap. Fortunately I have a split 22T block and internals and two sets of 22T heads that I can rebuild and put in the SS if the existing motor is bad. I was considering building a stroker 22T for my second gen but that plan is now on hold. I was getting so close to getting the SS back to it's stock glory. But I am not about to give up on it.
Gotta love cars lol. Don't give up, that thing is an awesome car!

The fitment issues are not because of the length. The bolt holes that connect the strut to the hub are different spacing.
-
Just so you know 06 STi struts do not fit your car.
i have the suspension from a 2006 sti to toss on, but i havent done it yet. it already has lowering springs on it, as well as the mounts and everything needed. i need some spacers for the back so far, but i havent had lift time to mess with it with my other vehicles down. only reason i got that set up was it was dirt cheap, i couldnt have gotten the 4 mounts for the price i paid for the whole set up.as for the civic, im selling the D16A1 motor complete for twice what i paid for it, since i dont really want to do a complete changeover. the block i got didnt have the same mounts, and while i could make my own i also dont want to change over the power steeering system as well as the main pulley assembly. but at least im gonna make some cash off of it, that will help pay for a rebuild kit for the D16Y7 i already have.

I got the intake tonight. I'm super stoked! I can't wait to install it! It is even better in person.
Glad you liked it. Let me know how the install goes.
-
Hope you enjoy it!

I finished a EJ22T turbo intake for monkey today!

So. Pretty much it looks like the only true CAI that is out there is the cosmo racing one, right?
I am looking at buying one with a EL header here very soon. Then megasquirt and a tune on E85. So the MAF will be rescaled for the CAI.
Yes you are correct. Only other option is custom.

97 LGT 196xxx. 200 miles on the new motor.
98 LGT 236xxx? Haven't driven the car in a while lol

parked all my subies in the garage last night and away from the hurricane.
my house, garage, cars and my bike all made it unscathed.
That is good news to hear! There is a guy on nasioc that had his GR crushed by a large tree.
-
Wow, that's low miles! Probably pretty soon I'm gonna be out of the 2nd gen leggy game, and into a 3rd gen wagon with 5mt. Getting really tired of the 4eat. It works amazingly well, but I want my 5speeds back. heh.
I thought you did a 5spd swap...or was that just a plan

theres an auto zone hub near my house, one of the evening guys there is a subaru guy. he pointed me here as well as to azawd.org for info on my car when i first bought it. auto zones are ok, the advance autos closed down around here, i dont even know where one is in the valley. oreilly is good too, pretty much every guy i run into there is a gearhead, whether its import, tuners or old school muscle. mebbe we just get a better kind of parts guys here
auto zone wont clear the codes for you tho, against their policies. i also made the mistake in telling them my 95 was obd2 compliant, took a while to convince the guy.
The guys at my autozone just hand me the scanner and say go for it when I want my codes cleared lol
