Any meets for this weekend in the Charleston area? I am headed up to visit a couple of buddies and wanted to bring my car out for the day or night to meet up with some new people.

Does anyone have a write up for the rears?

 

Mainly just wondering if I need to drop the diff. If so, I will most likely go ahead with a fluid change as well.

Msprank, any problems with the autozone branded axles coming back after a couple thousand for whatever reasons or any vibration issues?

I'm sure it's been said, but what lip is that?

That's so weird. I don't see our dash ever deteriorating to a sticky like compound. They usually crack due to dryness and old age.

Why are they in the febreeze aisle?

Try and clean your dash with an aerosol type window cleaner. It is safe for the dash. I think you have a ton of residue from another type of cleaner.

 

I use it on all surfaces of my interior (except the radio controls). It will take the white lettering right off! ask me how I know.

You need to realize that the sun in Florida is quite a bit hotter than the sun up in New England. I was surprised at the difference and will be getting a sun shade really soon.

 

I would think the dash would dry out and crack rather than get all sticky. Possibly something that the dash was treated with previously?

Question for you all.

 

Do you see the rubber coolant hose that makes a hump over the intake tube?

 

It is turning white. This is due to coolant. Do these hoses crack or seep at all? Mine is doing the same thing and there are no visible leaks at the union where it meets the hard line.

 

Just curious if people see this problem alot on that specific hose.

What size are the rubber transmission lines that are towards the front of the car under the battery tray?

 

I am trying to order a t fitting so that I can install a temp sensor that is 1/8" npt.

 

Prosport sells an 8mm barb fitting tee contraption but that equals out to be just a bit less than 3/4" according to a google search.

 

When I sent the diagram of the prosport fittings out for a quote, the guy got back to me with "are you sure it is 8mm? It is very similar to a 5/16"."

 

Now I am confused, so I am wondering what size the rubber hose is so I can get the proper barb fitting.
