  1. Did you also swap out the neutral safety switch?

I did swap out the nss and clutch slave cylinder.I found my swap parts at a local junk yard. They came off a 2012 sti with only 26000km. I paid 3300cad for transmission (complete with slave cylinder, clutch assembly, shift linkage, and mount), differential, and legacy 4eat drive shaft.

  2. Finally, I'm in the club! Used recipe B:

    2012 STI 6 speed

    STI R180 rear diff

    LGT front axles

    spec B rear axles

    LGT 4EAT drive shaft

Everything was a straight forward bolt-on, except the rear differential's input yoke had to be swapped. I'm loving the new setup, the differentials make a big difference. Now I need to figure out how to wire up the mapdccd controller.

  3. Sure, I'll snap more photos so you can see the finished product.

For the surround I used a bunch of different things, but in the end they either didn't last or didn't look professional. This is actually a tupperware box that I ended up dremeling out the bottom to the sze of my tablet. Works perfectly and looks professional. Everything thinks it's a stick screen.

Did you use the USDM stock bezel or the JDM bezel with a wider opening?

  4. That's exactly what I want to do. I just bought a Nexus 7 for this purpose. Is there any difference in the size/distance of the two vents between the stock bezel and the JDM bezel? In other words, if I hack up the stock bezel, should I be able to fit the N7 between the vents?

BTW I just finished rooting/unlocking the N7 with the tool kit found here. I'll be playing with different roms and setting it up to be more "car friendly" in the next little bit.

I just put together something similar with a nexus7

I ended picking up one of these so I didn't have to hack apart the stock bezel. This bezel had lots of room for the tablet so I had to make a brace to hold the tablet in place

Running jellybean with the go launcher app so I can have the landscape home screen.

I'll try it out for the next few days and see how it goes
