Same - might have to give it a try!
-
I'm interested! I have water spots that need to be polished out. I thought I'd be able to just claybar them out, but that did nothing but make the surface smooth
-
Yeah, I thought it sounded good too. Doubt they'll let me keep the old parts - whenthey rebuilt my engine, part of the low cost is from them keeping the old parts for use elsewhere... But it never hurts to ask!
-
Hahaha - I did talk to Suba, and they think they can swap it for $1400 - $2000 (2000 being a replacement of all the gears!). So far I haven't found better than that. For now, I'm just avoiding 5th gear, which isn't to hard with the 6 speed.

Any update on getting the transmission rebuilt? My 5th gear synchro is starting to go, and the stealership wants $5k to tear into it!!
Yeah seems that way. Found a cheap place. Advanced transmission center. $335 to Remove/Install and $546 to rebuild + parts. Free towing to their shop and no cost to you if you don't want to fix it after they tear it apart. We'll see. I will def review them afterwards. Anything more then $1500 and i'll jut do a six speed swap -
Great props to Troy and Ryan at Suba - like usual, they did an awesome job building me a new engine.
Then, on the way home, I got stuck in the hail storm, and now have a bunch of dimples on the roof (just the roof - hood and trunk survived without issue). Can anyone recommend a good dent popper? And what should I expect to pay to get 10-12 dents outs?
-
I don't think I agree with that priority. I'm willing to pay more (< $80) to ensure good fitment and reliable materials. While cost is important (as this is completely non-functional), if it looks like crap or doesn't fit right, no one will buy a set. I think people will be willing to pay a little more for quality - at least, I would.

^ Mod the bumper as cut it all up? No thanks... I'd rather not hack apart a perfectly good bumper, especially if these become available for $45!!!
-
I would totally be in on this if you can get them produced that cheaply and they look like the JDM versions!!!

Just wanted to put in a good word for Revolutions Performance down in Colorado Springs. They were able to get my LSD installed for $300 (when paired with a clutch replacement). By far the cheapest I could find in town. Not only that, but they were able to fix my crappy idle issue - ended up being a loose hose. Now I just need to figure out how to get back my $400 from the Go Subaru South for their incorrect diagnosis and "failed" O2 replacement (BTW - I will not be taking my car back to Go Subaru South ever - this is the second time they've screwed me over on a simple troubleshooting session).
In the end - many thanks to Revolutions Performance!

Then you missed page 1. ;-)
Just go to gtboostgauge.com, and select the VBG1.
I was even glad to see that lossol has the vaccuum tubing and T-fitting for the boost guage.

^^ No mine is running well, but it is eating more oil than before. I think it is just from the change in turbos. I didn't use much with the VF's I had but the BNR seems to like to use oil.
While I hate to hear anyone that is having oil consumption issues, I am glab to see that I'm not the only one with a BNR turbo that is sucking down the liters. What I really want to know is where all the oil is going!

WooHoo! Finally got mine ordered. Can't wait to get it installed.
-
No one for a front LSD install? How about a couple good shops for aftermarket clutch install?
-
Anyone know of a good shop that would be able to put a front LSD in at a decent price? Transmission work is something that always scares me...
-
Blast! Already sold out again.
-
That's exactly what I'm after - Thanks!
-
Anyone know of a good place around town that could mix up DGM paint and put it in a rattle can? I'm looking to paint some parts (mud flaps, fog light surrounds, etc), and want to be able to touch them up in the future without taking them into a shop.
-
Subscribed! This is exactly what I've been looking for!
-
I wish they'd move this up to HPR... Pueblo is just too far to make it a one-day trip.
-
2008Spec.B - what track is that? Pueblo?

I paid $200 for clear bra (included hood, bumper, headlights, fog lights, and mirrors), and $200 for tint. For the other places I checked out, it was going to cost $250 for the clear bra, and $175 for the tint, so I saved $25 overall. I was a little concerned that the quality was going to be sub-par, but as I've said, I was really impressed.
Now you do have to watch where you go... we did my wife's Forester at the GO dealership off Arapahoe, and they charged us $400 and it looked like crap. We made them re-do the whole front bumper, and it's "good-enough" for the wife, but I still would have made them re-do it again if it was my car.

On my Legacy, I had the West GO dealership in Golden do it (I'm sure they have someone else actually do the work). They did it cheaper than I could find at my usual installers, and looks 3x better than any other place I've seen. When I picked up the car, I thought they had forgotten to install it because I couldn't see any of the seams! I was extremely happy with the work (they also tinted my windows at the same time, so I probably got a discount based on that).
Does anyone know where I can get a good clear bra installed on my car around the Denver metro area
