FLlegacy, fair point about difference in class/price. Nonetheless if Subaru was offering a turbo Legacy with manual transmission we could have way more flexibility. fwiw, I am considering a used Q50 which makes it much more affordable.
-
What is attractive in Q50 is that if you get a 300hp 3.0t and add a few bolt-ons (heat exchanger, CAI, DP) and a tune you can have 450hp. And you can still have AWD.
Wish Legacy would offer this flexibility with current models.
Speaking of steering, some models of Q50 come with steering modes that can be selected.
-
Some of the cars I've been thinking about:
Model 3 AWD with ludicrous mode - should be fun. But $$$.
Lexus IS 350 F Sport AWD - should have fun handling. Significant power gains will be expensive?
Infiniti Q50 3.0t AWD - engine has a great potential and it is a sleeper. Not sure if steering/handling are ok. Seems to be a great value. Lost in trim choices.
-
Ok, now Subaru is recommending to replace catalytic converter and sensors.
Total over $2100.

Downpipe was installed 6 months ago. Did have Cobb OTS installed after DP install.
Reverted to stock map before bringing it to Subaru.
Subaru was doing timing belt and state inspection. I believe they tried resetting the code and then driving the car around. Not sure what else they did in attempts to fix it. No check engine light before bringing it in and they confirmed that they are not seeing CEL either.
-
Brought my car in for inspection at a local Subaru dealer.
They are reading a "catalytic converter concern code".
No CEL or anything. They tried to reset it and drive around but it was still there. They kept it for another day to give it another go. Anyone else experience this?

Got a letter from my credit union today. Got my title. Loan paid off.

^ Sucks mate. Last time someone did that to me and left I decided to get a dashcam with parking mode.

"Catalytic converter concern code" during state inspection at Subaru. Any tips?
- Invidia downpipe installed (catted). What is the quietest aftermarket muffler option?- Clutch damper deleted.
- Looking for good LED headlights. Getting tired of changing bulbs.

How difficult is it to do?

That’s some $$

Received front rotors. How can I tell they are genuine subaru parts?
Ordered them from SubaruPartsDeal.com. Came in generic cardboard boxes. No usual Subaru sticker.

GTEASER has somewhere a list of all the parts necessary to do the suspension upgrade

Hikari LED headlight bulbs up to 40%

The struggle is real.
Edit: ^wait you are in FL and you are struggling with this?
-
Dang it. Now I want to do my suspension. Enablers.
-
This would be great.I have a list somewhere of all the parts necessary, with OEM part numbers. I'll try to find it. -
Subaru still deals with Chase? Miss those "Subaru bucks" :'-(

I was doing an oil change at the toyota dealer. And they were willing to install VLEDS for like $40. I dont really have a place to work on my car so this worked for me.
-
I personally stick with buying slightly used cars with warranty. This way the first 2-3 years of rapid depreciation are over and I have a nice car for 2/3 of the original price.
I never finance at the dealer. Instead I shop around for the best car loan rate at local credit unions and finance through them.
FWIK, lease is a bad financial decision most of the time. The house always wins.
But if money is not really a worry it does come with some benefits.

When does one need to upgrade to R180? To handle more power?
What did you buy for your 5th gen today? - V3
