  1. So... Until I can find my new interior... Any takers on '05 Limited BLACK interior? Front driver door panel is kind of rough. Front driver seat is pretty worn where your butt first slides in. Otherwise, everything is nice. :)

Like I said, first I need to find my new interior, then I need to buy new interior.. Just gauging interest on this.

If I'm reading this right, you have the black leather interior. If so, be ready to have 1000 PM's within the next 24 hrs.

  2. I probably can't speak for eveyone on the forum, and I've read through the thread. But I've worked as a 12V installer for many years, and dismantling interiors is simple. I've gutted cars and put em back together within an hour by myself, including 4th gen legacys. If you have the right tools, and you know how to swap the interior, it's a painless job to do.

The people that I've offered money to, I offered to do all of the work as well. Hell, I've even offered to bring a 6 pack of their choice to enjoy while they watch :)

If you ask me, watching someone swap interiors while drinking is well worth $500.

I've done the swap. And it's incredibly time consuming.

  3. I guess I dont understand how he got the oem screen to mirror the HU screen. What does all that have to do with the HVAC and oem headunit?

Nothing to do with the HVAC I'm guessing. My aftermarket nav unit has a "Video Out", and you can set the OEM NAV screen to accept an input (do a search, it's on here somewhere). My bet is that's how he got both to show what the head unit is showing.

  4. I know it's common sense, and most here should be able to spot a scam email at any point. However, I did receive an email about my car for sale (LGT.com is the only place I have it listed). I'm not sure how they got my current email address (as the one linked to THIS account is my old-now secondary email address).

The email was from a "Chana Schroit"

    Hello

Complement of the day.I'm writing regarding your placed ad,as i will like you to e-mail me the full detail, present condition(current photo if available),and please do get back to me with your final asking price and also let me know if you still have it available for sale

Obviously, a scam. Anyway, I just got the email today, so I figure they might have hit a few others selling cars here today. Just know it's obviously a scam.

I figure this will be moved by mods at some point, but hopefully it'll last throughout the day just in case someone else got the email today also.

  5. Oooohhh.... Now I'm really curious. But I think so too. That's why this weekend, I will have but one mission: check it! I will remove the seat and look. Any precautionary advise? Like airbag/seatbelt sensors I need to lookout for?

Thanks, JDMChizad. I think I might just go with the Outback 2002-2004 since I've seen them cheap in eBay.

Just disconnect your battery before messing with any plugs for the seat. I'm not sure there are airbags IN your seat, but just in case it's always good to disconnect the battery.

  6. I think I'm gonna release a few more beta units before selling the real thing. I have pcb boards on order, they will be in by late next week. After the beta testers seem satisfied I will be putting in an order for a production quantity. It could be a few weeks to a month, unless your lucky enough to get in on the next round of beta gauges, I expect the additional beta gauges to be out in a week or so.

I'd love to be in on the next beta group! :)
