Argh, those wheels make me want to punch a homeless guy in a wheelchair. If you have the stock rims, they will help move the car much faster than what is on the car already.

Better tell your friend if he is interested, he should act quickly. This car at this price is not going to be around for long.

I was lucky to drive that car into the bay at the DIY garage when we did the spring install. Damn nice car. Very roomy.

That's the advantage -- roughly halfway between Baltimore and DC. If one person works in DC and their spouse works in Baltimore, it's a great location.

In the vicinity of 495 and 95S in conjunction with 32 and 295. I will be quite a ways around between MD and VA. More VA, though I'd still have to report to Columbia in the mornings.

Maybe just move to Columbia, then? Even there, housing is cheaper, and it's not THAT far from Virginia...

 

If you knew the sites I need to "visit", you'd see why I haven't gone to Columbia to live.

 

Columbia is going to be quite a stretch from where I'd need to be.

Move up to Baltimore! I'm paying that for a 3br/2.5ba townhome with a 2-car garage!

 

I wish I could. I need to be close to Virginia and be close to Columbia, MD as best I can. So I need to be somewhere central to both locations, mainly for the travel needed for my work.

I looked at a couple in White Flint, saw some listings for 1 bdr apartments for $1600 a month. All gone. I really don't miss apartment hunting.

Hey guys, I plan on coming down today to the Diner at 2:30 pm today. Got a few errands to take care of before I come over. I just washed my car yesterday and it already rained. LOL!! Oh well.

 

BTW, I bought some chemicals, rags, buckets, brushes, waxes, clay bars for detailing services if anyone needs. If you have a clear bra, I have a gel wax for the clear bra as well.

Hey Tommy, I got the front bumper garnish/lip installed on my car. It definitely completes the front end well.

I am hoping to come on out. So far, don't see any obstacles in my way preventing me from coming.

I'm out of this one... I'll be in the midst of helping my girl move down from NH. She is taking either Booz Allen or another offer she might be getting from a place in Greenbelt.

 

Would the place in Greenbelt be Presidio Corporation? If so, don't even consider their offer. She is better off in Booz. Booz is at least the 3rd layer of hell, whereas Presidio was the 6th circle of hell.

 

I used to work at Presidio Corporation and lost a good year of my life there. VERY cutthroat atmosphere there.

Well with or without Josh, would anyone else be down for a Sunday meet up? We could do a lunch get together, while there is daylight. Say January 2nd at 1:30? Most of the lunch crowd should be gone by then on a Sunday.

 

The Silver Diner in question is in Congressional Plaza (I think that is what it's called), where the MicroCenter is.

Pick a date. Ill set it up. Fridays work best so far.

Hollowrift hosts the NASIOC meets at DFH in Gburg and Alexandria. He does a damn good job too and the people that come are damn awesome and very good people to boot. But I think things are going to be chill until after New Years. Definitely looking to go to his meets again.

 

Columbia meets were attempted by LegacyGTBiggie (look back a few pages). But there is a NASIOC group that is also starting up some meets in Howard County (Columbia mainly) as well.

 

The meets this thread is associated with are usually off the pike at Taipei Tokyo or Chipotle in Wintergreen Plaza. Maybe one day we could do a Silver Diner trip (the new one where the old Bennigans used to be).
