You'll have to loosten the bolts and position the headlight correctly before tightening them again. The same thing happened to me when I put my lights back in last time. I just threw the housings in, tightened the bolts, and put the bumper back on. The problem is that the lights have to be positioned in their happy place for the bumper to go back on with no gaps. ya feel me?

Anyone run into a problem with having the housings not sit flush against the fender? I cleared mine over the weekend but keep noticing a gap between the light ass'y and the fender. Do I suspect the plastic bracket the light sits it or is it more at the mounting points?

 

 

That is the result of the headlights not being mounted correctly. You should take a picture of the gaps and then take your bumper off again. Then you can loosen the mounts on the housings and adjust accordingly.

I did, go back a page and read. I'm not 100% satisfied with the results so I'm considering buying Ebay pieces, having LW clear those and reselling the OEM.

They charge $60 for headlight clearing. Plus they're in northern NJ and I'm in SE PA so I mail 1 day, they have the next, 2 days or so later they send back and I'm back in business in less than 5 days.

Clear them yourself. A child could do it. It's really not scary or difficult.

So I read from page 1 to 45 and saw no picks of cleared lights on ABP color models, Does it just look terrible or something? I want to do this but the lack of examples to my color scares me, lol!

Was that with a tune? was it a difference you could feel?

What kind of gains are present after installing a big TMIC at Stage 2? Can you squeeze a little more boost out of the VF40? WIll it hold boost longer? Is there really no point in getting an aftermarket IC with stock turbo?

I finally got the balls to do it. I'll tell ya, it was scary sticking these things in the oven. I did 280 degrees for 8 minutes to pull apart and 5 minutes as 280 to put back together. They came out perfectly and look 1000% times better. Those damn orange reflectors haunted me from day one.

 

If you haven't done it yet... DO IT!!!

Installed mine today in about an hour. I must say, I was a bit intimidated when I looked at the instructions. It wasn't bad at all!!! It sounds great and, best of all, no more carrying around huge cases of CDs.

APB was not even my third choice, but dang its grown on me. Now I wouldn't trade it for anything...except that brown bronze color the 96Ls came in. My first Leggy was that color and I loved it.
