Haha, I knew you live in the area but couldn't remember what your car looks like. I think I've seen this one before.
For future reference Neil can be seen roaming the streets in this....

Nah, I just dont spend much time up there. Usually one night when I go and only 5 times a year. I'll make it my mission to find some next time. Thinking of maybe driving up on Sat.

saw a few LGTs this weekend up in burlington: Sat early afternoon i think i saw a black sedan, spoiler, pretty loud exhaust in williston in big boxville; sunday late morning swp sedan, nj plates, spoiler, heading west on williston rd; around 630/7 swp wagon, ct plates parked directly infront of Flynn, [saw you on my way out of town alittle after 8 too, that was me who beeped&waved when you pulled out behind me. ] ; also 630/7 saw a qsm sedan going north on north ave, by battery park. no obxts this weekend.. one fxt spotting sat, but it was a middle aged lesbian.. imagine that.
WTF, I never see LGT's when Im up visiting my sister in Essex jct.

Spotted a blue or black (dirty) LGT with red multispoke wheels (looked like spec B's) on route 100 in Wilmington Vt. I just pulled into my shop in my LGT.

Oil light came on on the dyno a few times. We shut it down after 30 min. on the dyno. Loaded up on the trailer and there was a nice loud knocking. Dropped the oil when we got back and it looks like some nice metallic flake paint. He used a STI oil pump, killer b pickup. Havent talked to him yet today so I dont know what he found.....

Yup that was us. Did not go well either....

A rarity and long shot. Spotted 20 mins ago in Brattleboro. Silver '05 LGT debadged except for legacy. I was behind you going up Rte 9. We hit triple digits at least once before you turned toward Marlboro college. I was in my black Avalon. It's supercharged, that's why you couldnt shake me . PM me if you see this. Im building my LGT stage II and my buddy here is building his stage II.

Oil Pan Removal
in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Posted
I removed and installed the dipstick tube with the engine still in while I was replacing the pan and pickup. I just used a cloth wrapped around the tube with visegrips lightly attached. Hammered up on the vise grips to detach tube from pan and then wiggle it up and out. Getting the tube back down to the pan was a bit harder but do-able and I used a little grease on the O-ring to help it slide in.
Edit--- Of course there is one bolt holding the dipstick tube in place. I was assuming this bolt is removed.
