  1. Finished this install up yesterday and only took like 6 hours . In all fairness I took my time since I have never torn it apart like this and was checking everything out. I was really surprised how easy the intercooler came out.

The damper came out fairly easy and I did suck as much fluid out of the reservoir as I could with a syringe. Not much fluid came out of the lines, but I did have an old t-shirt to let the fluid drip on. As everyone had mentioned before, leave the line towards the front of the car on and remove at the master cylinder (?) under the dash. I made sure not to touch the clutch pedal as well.

When bleeding the system, I was kinda surprised that the pedal just stays on the floor, it doesn't pop back up like the brake pedal when bleeding (never worked on a clutch system before).

Finally got it bled out, but there was a creaking at the slave cylinder/shift fork.

I have noticed the noise before, but never got around to checking it out. Ended up figuring out both the slave cylinder contact with the fork, and the fork contact with the pivot ball were pretty dry (Gteaser's suggestion). I made a grease applicator (Q-tip taped to a coat hanger) and greased both with some hi-temp grease (again, Gteaser's suggestion).

After the test drive, the creaking was gone. And I noticed today that along with the clutch feeling so much better, it is lighter. Not so hard to push down. I attribute that to the dry pivot points.

A huge thanks to Gteaser for helping me out yesterday (a few PM's back and forth). We knocked out two birds with one stone, and I now know more about this car. Great online community :).

Any pictures on where you greased?
  2. I am looking to pick up a 75B omega urban grey after i pick up a ruger mark IV for my fiance since she's not into recoil of my coiple 9mm's. I shot a cz75B stainless and loved it. I shot it the same and sometimes better than my g19 which i have a few thousand rounds through. For $500-$600 for a full metal gun, i think it's a good deal. I also shot a p226 at the same time as the CZ. I loved the sig also, but since i shoot the cz the same as the sig, i am fine with saving a few hundred and getting the cz
  3. My grandfather passed away and we found a couple guns in the basement that my grandmother didnt know he had.

1952 H&R Topper M48 12ga - shoots but currently having ejection problems (broke the whole thing down and relubed and still no go. )

19** Hamilton No 27 22cal - missing the breech block handle and dont have any 22short laying around so havent shot it yet. Havent broken it down yet to clean it real well.b07283f62fe12220d56509f7456463c8.jpg37247c34215c29becceb0fa2390fe612.jpg9613f9ec83efeb8b250690e6ade8da07.jpg

Update: looks like the topper just doesnt like Winchester shells. Grabbed some Federal and it shot like a champ. Got to shoot some clays yesterday with a buddy. He had a Remington 11-48 semi-auto which the whole barrel recoils. I have never seen a semi-auto like that.

  5. Went and used a gift card I had to the local gun range. Ran my P938, G19, and rented a CZ 75B SS. Man I loved the CZ. I shot it better than my G19 through 50 rounds. I know what my next gun will be.

I also fixed my fail to extract on my 10.5" SBR. I added an o-ring to the extractor spring and now it's running like a champ through 100rounds. Before I couldnt get through more than 10 and it would fail to extract completely and would jam a new round into the bore and get them both stuck.

Now I am just hoping the HPA passes. SBR's are so much louder indoor than out (first time shooting it indoor). I forgot to turn on my electric ear muffs for the first mag and my ears were ringing a little after.

  6. Interesting... leaked ATF white paper. May signal a sea change in the way ATF conducts business, and more rational approach to regulation...

I saw this. Im hoping it's true and not just a joke.

Also, everyone on this sub should sign this if you haven't and get your family/friends to do the same:

  7. The last of the parts from CGW arrived and installed: short reset disconnector, short resset disconnector, extended firing pin, reduced power return spring and a 18# hammer spring. My CZ has a 2.5# SA Pull and a 8.25# DA pull, the reset is much better. The break is unbelievably smooth. Definitely recommend a Pro-Grade kit from GCW for anyone with a CZ.

    Which CZ you have again?

  8. As my ten year old likes to say, Because 'Murica!

I'm waiting on suppressor #10. Guessing February 2017.

I'm done with SBRs and suppressors for awhile.

I ordered two of the new CZ P10C suppressor ready guns and hope to get them in soon. Then I'll be done with guns for awhile as well. I need to concentrate on hobbies I've been neglecting.

I wish you lived in Columbus

  9. I have the M&P Pro Series that's have APEX's Duty/Carry kit installed and while it's a nice pistol. I paid about $600 for my M&P Pro. I have a .40 S&W slide for my P226 and I never use it because 9mm is way cheaper to shoot, has good capacity, and easier to control.

However, I think the best bang for your buck is the CZ P07 (Glock 19 sized) and P-09 (Glock 17 sized). It takes the features I enjoy about my Sig P226 (External hammer with DA/SA trigger with a decocker or safety, tighter slower breech unlock and full length rails) and M&P(lighter weight polymer frame, higher capacity magazine [P07 is 15+1 P09 is 19+1 and you get polymer +2 base plates for $4 a piece], great ergonomics with a swap able back strap.) all for about $450 for the basic model (which for a compact I got) for $500 for a supressor ready model(Which I have for my full size).. The pistol shoots very accurately and is easier to control than my P226 or M&P, and has a great trigger. The only thing I don't really like is field stripping it, not that it's hard just the you have to line up two notches and drive the pin out like a 1911. Seriously if you can find a range the has one locally, I strongly urge you to shoot one. I like this pistol so much I'm probably going to sell my M&P 5" Pro to fund my LR308 Rifle build

Edit Picture: Glock 19 and CZ P07

    I want a p-01 so bad.

  10. Just an FYI, the firearm in the picture is a Mil Spec model, not a Range Officer.

Thanks, i actually just realized this morning. It's milspec with the RO grips. Took me a while to catch that. Everything else is stock besides an upgraded trigger. The guy said he has no FTE/FTF and feeds hollow points just fine.

  11. Which would you pick from the below? I want a 1911, this is going to be strictly a range toy. Im going to keep it at my parents house so it wont get loads of shooting.

    Tisas 1911 .45 - 1 mag ($300)

    Springfield 1911 .45 - milspec 2 mags ($520, could probably get it for $500)

Springfield Range Officer .45 - 2 mags, 50rds ammo, OWB holster ($550, would offer $500 and see what sticks)
